Francis Meagly was not wounded, but his horse fell on him during the battle, stunning him for a while, and his removal from the field. Alton, Illinois, is attached to the department of the Missouri. Western Virginia is attached to the department of Ohio, headquarters at Cincinnati. There are eighteen hospitals in Philadelphia, escapable of accommodating seven thousand one hundred patients. There are nineteen regiments in camp in Richmond and some ten or twelve in Indiana, awaiting orders from the Government. Hon.
