It is a fit and beautiful emblem of their devotion and patriotism to the South. Most of the ladies (God bless them) that we have conversed with on the subject of our National troubles, are in favor of Virginia seceding immediately from Yankeedom, and we know of but few of the sterner sex who prate Union. We shall have a grand secession demonstration at the fishery of Capt. Thomas W. Atkinson, on next Saturday, the 30th of March, at which time another secession flag will be run up.-- Dr. Charles M. Hubbard, our talented Senator, having announced his intention to resign his position in the State Senate after the adjournment of the present Legislature, has caused several aspirants to declare themselves candidates for that office, all of whom are sanguine of their election.
