o the irregularity of the mails between this place and Williamsburg.--Heretofore we have been receiving regularly semi-weekly journals, published in your city, on the day they were issued; but a new arrangement between the mail contractor and the York River Railroad deprives subscribers from obtaining their newspapers at the offices on Friday from here to Williamsburg, which has given rise to a vast deal of complaint.--The semi-weekly edition of your paper of Friday, and likewise that of the weekly, by this arrangement cannot reach your subscribers sooner than the Tuesday following. There is already a petition on foot to abolish this miserable arrangement, and it will be sent to the Postmaster General in a few days. Let us have the mail by the old route, which will put subscribers in possession of your city papers semi-weekly. In exciting times like the present, we desire to be apprised of what is occurring, regularly, under the present Black administration. Yours, truly, Dyke.
