Woman's devotion. We have heard of an incident connected with the battle of Manassas, illustrating the patriotism of our noble women, which is worth recording even at this late period. On the morning of that great fight, a Mrs. Dogan, a widow lady living near the scene of action, had her wagon loaded with barrels of water and driven to the battle field, in the rear of our army. This, though involving no expense, was an act of kind consideration, and was of more service to our gallant soldiers on that eventful day than thousands of gold and silver would have been.
