Mustered out August, Left State for Harrisburg, Pa., June 18. Guard duty at Harrisburg, Marysville, Carlisle and Chambersburg, Pa., till July 17. Attached to Yates' 1st Brigade, Dana's Division. Dept. of the Susquehanna. Mustered out July 22, 1863. 5th New York Regiment Veteran Infantry. Organized into a Battalion of four Companies by c12, 1862. Declared exchanged January 11, 1863.
