--Detective Craddock, and other officials connected with the Provost Marshal's office, attended the Danville Depot yesterday on the arrival of the cars, and calmed a dozen gallons or more of peach brandy which was attempted to be smuggled in by a number of female passengers by a species of feminine ingenuity which, at least on this occasion, did not pass master.
