Runaway,
--Ran away from the service of the James River and Kanawha Company, about two weeks ago, a negro boy named Sam, the property of Col. Wm. P. Munford.
Sam's parents reside in the city, and he is well known here, and is familiar himself with all parts of the city, and is no doubt here.
He is about five feet six inches tall, of a brown color round face, smooth and pleasant countenance.
He has the rheumatism, and is lame in his left knee, which he cannot conceal when walking.
The company will pay $25 reward for the arrest of Sam and his confinement in Cary Street Jail, where I can get him. B L Chinn, Supt J R & K Canal. mh 3--ts
