Marine Matters. --The bark Pioneer, Capt. Childs, of the Richmond and Liverpool line, has arrived at the lower wharves. She is a fine vessel, 160 feet length of deck, and 34 feet breadth of beam — too large to be taken into the Dock; so those who wish to see her, must go to Rocketts. She will load here for Liverpool. Admirers of superior naval architecture will do well to examine the brig New York, Capt. Cooper, now loading in the Dock with tobacco, for Marseilles. She is one of the finest models we ever saw, and though we don't pretend to much nautical knowledge, we can distinguish her good points without any aid.--By custom house measurement, she is 118 feet 4 inches in length, 27 feet 6 inches breadth of beam, and 10 feet depth of hold. Everything on board is neat and trim, while there are many improvements combining comfort with safety.
