Requisition for conscripts.
--We understand that a formal requisition has been made on the Enrolling officer of Alabama, at "Camp Watta." for 700 conscripts to fill up the ranks of the 3d Alabama regiment, commanded by the late Col. T. Lomax. Two hundred and fifty, we learn, have been selected as the first installment of the number required.
This regiment is commanded now by Col. C. A. Battle, and its ranks have been reduced by sickness and wounded in various battles in Virginia and Mary and to much less than a single company of effective men.-- Columbus Sun.
