Yet there is where the assertion that violations of a compact do not dispossess majorities will lead you. Go to the Arian controversy. Arius contended that Christ was not God. Then came the Athanasian war, and Arianism triumphed; and Athanasius went to wander in the wilderness and in caves. Where was the Church? You know, and cry, "The Church of God in the Wilderness."
