The National Fast day. Boston, Jan. 4.
--The National Fast to-day is generally observed in this city.
The Banks and many of the stores are closed.
Before divine services commenced in the churches, a salute of thirty-three guns was fired on the Common, in honor of Major Anderson and the Union, by the Boston Light Artillery.
