Federal attack near Jasper, Tenn Chattanooga, June 5 --Gen. Adams was attacked yesterday by a superior force of the enemy, supposed to be 4,000 strong, Infantry, cavalry, and artillery, about twelve miles Northwest of Jasper, Tenn, and was compelled to retreat, with a less of six men; The enemy are not near here.
