Kentucky vs. Ohio. --The case of Kentucky against the Governor of Ohio, who refused to issue his warrant for the arrest of Lago, charged with having enticed a slave from Kentucky into Ohio, was set for Saturday in the Supreme Court, but the Attorney-General of Ohio having forwarded an affidavit that a professional engagement prevented his attendance, the case was postponed till the 8th of February. Kentucky was ready by counsel.

Opposition to Mr. Seward as Secretary of State. St. Louis,Feb. 8. --The Springfield correspondent of the Republican says that prominent Republican members of the Illinois Legislature are in favor of signing a remonstrance against the appointment of Mr. Seward as Secretary of State.

Latest from the North.the Burnside fleet.latest from Roanoke. the Sumter still on her career of Victory--Senator Bright expelled — a conspiracy to break up the Union! [Special Dispatch to the Richmond Dispatch.] Norfolk, Va., Feb. 8. A messenger arrived to-day, from Roanoke Island, reports that four Federal steamers were off the island last night. A large number of vessels were twelve miles below the island. An attack is expected at this point. Gen. Wise is in better health, and is making active preparations for receiving the enemy. The flag of truce steamer arrived this afternoon. She brought over Mrs. Gen. Gaines and four other ladies, on their way to New Orleans. The feeling in Washington is strong in favor of a prosecution of the war and the suppression of the rebellion. We have Northern papers of the 6th inst. France, by the latest advices, is to lead in the advance on the city of Mexico, which her troops will probably hold several years.
