iction that the removal of teaching from the home and the concentration of all education in the school was difficult for both home and school. His pride in the school, however, and especially in the new school building, compensated in some degree for his regret in the loss of his actual teaching. He loved to show visitors over the school and to teach the pupils themselves the significance of the works of art which surrounded them. The character of the whole city was rapidly changing.
