--There are still one hundred and twenty military officers above the rank of captain holding the Waterloo medal.
Of these eighteen are generals, twenty-two lieutenant-generals, twenty-four major-generals, nineteen colonels, twenty-four lieutenant--colonels, and thirteen majors.
Three or four years since the number of officers wearing this medal (above the rank of captain) was one hundred and fifty.
