Maryland and Virginia was read in the Senate on Saturday and ordered to be printed. Bills were reported for incorporsting the Central Savings Bank of Richmond, and for amending the 6th section of the law for the relief of the Banks. Resolutions were adopted calling for a report on the expediency of a stay law, and for meeting hereafter at 10 o'clock A. M. each morning. The bill increasing the capital stock of the York River Railroad was laid on the table. The treasury note bill was discussed. The House adopted a resolution calling for information on the subject of the Armory and the proceedings of the Commissioners relative to the purchase of arms, &c.; also, one to proceed to the election of Generals of Militia on the 12th inst. A substitute was offered for the Covington and Ohio Railroad bill, which empowers the Board of Public Works to increase the price of work done by contractors 10 per cent. Laid on the table. The tax bill was amended and ordered to its engrossment.
