Fatal Catastrophe.
--The New Orleans (La.) Commercial Bulletin, of the 1st instant, states that, in consequence of recent rain storms, the Jackson Railroad was considerably damaged, and a down freight train, on the 27th ult., was precipitated into one of the "washes," near Magnolia, Miss., causing the death of the conductor, engineer and wood passer, and injuring a fireman dangerously.
