A new compilation of all our cartoons
Fwak! Animation Reel from Eddie Mort on Vimeo.
Don’t forget the Fwak! shorts on Vimeo; the complete ‘RUDO BY NIGHT’ (intro and 3 episodes), THE FUZZ and SUPER MAHI TIKI
(Check out The Fuzz for ‘Erotic Toy Story’ and the Sinatra-inspired show tune!)
July 3rd at the wonderful Mu-Meson Archives in Annandale. Hosts Jay Katz and Miss Death are also showing a Lucha Libre documentary, and Lili and I will be present via DVD (we are preparing a little something to proceed the movie – not least explaining how I was introduced to ‘Mexican Wrestling movies’ all those years ago by Mr. Jay Katz himself!)
More details to come…
Projection showing animation from our ‘Rocquita’ short
Our last presentation was in Sao Paulo at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design. What a fantastic turnout! Thanks to all the Brazilian animation people who came along and made it such a success.
It was great to meet so many Mucha Lucha! fans there too!
Q & A after the presentation
Fwak! continues travelling through South America. Friday’s presentation in Buenos Aires was an interesting event; a more serious, contemplative crowd than in Mexico City attended the event and it was fascinating to observe the differences between the animation industries of the two countries.
Our next presentation is in Sao Paulo Brazil on Monday; full details and photos of the whole tour when we are back in Los Angeles on Wednesday
Lili (far left in red) and Eddie presenting ANIMATE in Buenos Aires
Okay, we did sneak in some Mariachis, tequila, a traditional Mexican floor show full of corazon y dolor, tequila, a visit to the Palacio Nacional and (naturally) a trek to luchador Super Astro’s cafe…
…and finally our ANIMATE demo at MUMEDI (Museo Mexicano del Diseño) which went exceptionally well! (Phew!). Thanks to all the wonderful animation people in Mexico who attended. More pictures from the demo tomorrow when we get our breath back!
Q&A post-presentation. L-R Sergio de La Cruz (Toon Boom) Eddie, Lili
