Ahhhh! Here’s something I like to build… pool tables. Over the years we’ve done them in a variety of styles from high formal, like this one, to Arts and Crafts, post and beam using recycled barn beams, and Beidermeir style. I’m always on the lookout for clients with their own ideas for a pool table too. We even made one with Zs inlaid in the rails for a client who collected Zorro paraphernalia. I’ve played pool my whole life so I’m sensitive to how a good table plays and my clients have enjoyed these pieces over the years. The table shown above received a “Design Portfolio Award” from Custom Woodworking Business magazine in 2005.
