The Adirondack coast, with Plattsburgh at its center, offers great scuba diving, boating, sailing, and windsurfing on Lake Champlain. The coast boasts many beaches and parks. Bass fishing, complete with tournaments, is huge on Lake Champlain, and Ausable Chasm – a gorge that's two miles long - is a top attraction.
