Heads up, all you chickens and geezers: We’re about to spoil Netflix‘s Too Hot to Handle. If you haven’t completed your binge, you might want to… Retreat.
Putting aside the season’s official outcome, no one on Too Hot to Handle played the game as well as breakout star Francesca Farago.
Over the course of eight episodes, the Vancouver-based Instagram model never stopped evolving, gradually giving us every shade of the reality TV rainbow. We watched her tirelessly transform from a doe-eyed ingenue to a vengeful pot-stirrer, before eventually completing the process as an empowered “I didn’t come here to make friends” queen. As far as I’m concerned, when Lana allowed Harry and Francesca — the Ross and Rachel of this sexual circus — to win back their money in the finale, that was merely a thank-you for keeping the season chugging along.
“I was just there to have fun and maybe form a connection with someone,” Francesca tells TVLine. “Once the rules were introduced, and after the initial shock wore off, I basically thought, ‘I didn’t come here expecting to win any money, and we don’t even know how this money’s going to be split.’ So if I felt like kissing someone, I was going to kiss someone. I didn’t care how much money I lost, which is probably why I ended up losing the most out of everyone in the house. But that was my mindset, to have fun and entertain myself as much as I could. As much as I made everyone mad, I don’t regret anything that I did.”

In the interest of seeing just how little she regrets, TVLine asked Francesca to walk us through some of the season’s most controversial moments, many of which were direct results of her own actions. And we thank her for that.

Hope she gets another show somehow. She was a great villain, someone who would make a killing if she was part of the bachelor franchise. They would put her on 23 seasons of every show they have.
I found her attitude about the money really rude. Clearly this is a girl who has money. Others might not be as lucky.
Wonderfully, wonderfully rude. Though I doubt that money issue relates much to the cast of this show. It’s hard to be a hedonist without at least a little disposable income. And given the nature of these shows, she’s actually a benefit to it’s chances of renewal. They get boring without a villain to root against. (Pretty much a basic of story telling.) This whole thing is a bubble that probably won’t have much effect in any of their outside lives. The real winner is whoever can milk this by extending their stay in the Reality Circus Multiverse.
Also, I’ve gotta say, I don’t know why but there is something about the cavalier bad girl that definitely gets my attention. You might not take her home to Mom, but I bet she’s a lot of fun in the meantime.
Nah. She just really needed to suck some dick.
She was a villain that was somehow the only likeable contestant. Maybe because she only became a villain when the other idiots didn’t believe her.
I really wanted to dislike this show based on it’s premise. After watching all the episodes I can admit I was wrong. There actually was amazing personal growth among some of the contestants, especially Francesca and Harry. Look forward to seeing a second season.
This was an incredibly smart tactical decision. As an IG model, notoriety, no matter how short term, was likely to be worth far, far more money than winning this competition. Being noteworthy was more important that winning. Smart move.
The real villain was Hayley…I guess she felt like an idiot that she missed out on the price $$ since they all shared it in the end.
Francesca and Harry made the season fun to watch. I tried to hate Harry but his arrogance was too funny and fun to watch. What I can’t believe is how the group did not ask Lana if harry was lying but they asked her to verify if the girls had kissed.
I was team Francesca through the whole season yes she was hurt and lashed out at everyone but she eventually forgave Harry without him even apologizing for not defending her I can imagine that wasn’t easy also she apologized to Chloe for accepting the date with Kori and for hurting her feelings even though Chloe did the same thing to Bryce she deserved a lot more credit than she got love ya girl xoxo
