A Little Behind...

Happy Sunday to you!! Boy, does my blog title say it all today!! I've had a plan for this card ever since I saw the cute Bunny Front and Back Cottage Cutz dies from The Scrapping Cottage. The thought for this card immediately came into my head, and I got right to work! Well, the best laid plans often go awry (as the quote goes), and that's exactly what happened to me!! I finished my card, even saved all of the markers I'd used into a basket for photographing, and all I needed to do was computer generate the "We're A Little Behind" sentiment. THAT is as far as I got! I got busy and completely forgot to print the sentiment and post my card!! SO, I'm late today and I do so apologize for that! With ALL that being said, here is my card for you, and I hope it was worth the wait. It sure makes me laugh when I see these bunny behinds, and I hope it gives you a chuckle, too!
All of the card stock and paper for this card came from my scrap bin. I added some pleated satin ribbon and chocolate colored pearls for embellishment, and kept it at that, because I want these bunny behinds to shine!! They are, afterall the main attraction, and what cute little behinds they are!!  The Happy Belated Birthday sentiment is from the Country Bumpkin Gracee Goose (CB-09) stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.

(Click on the Picture to see a bigger photo.)
This basket contains every marker that I used to color these bunnies, and yes, I DID use each and every color, AND you can add C1,C3, and C5 to that mix, because I took those out to work on something else, and they didn't make it back to the basket.

So glad you could visit The ThINKin' Spot today. Make it a great day... EVEN if you're a little... BEHIND!!!!

Sneaky Peeky Time and A New Challenge!

Good morning!  This is a long post today, so be sure and scroll all the way down.  I don't want you to miss a thing.  The excitement around here is positively contagious as we get ready for the big reveal of our new stamp sets tomorrow at Peachy Keen Stamps, and I have a little sneaky peeky for you today!  This card is made with the new Stamp of the Month set (available tomorrow), and are you EVER going to love it!  It's got SO many wonderful images in it to work with, and the creative possibilities are endless!!!  I used the sweet little gnome girl for my card today.  I stamps her with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics.
All of the patterned paper and card stock that you see here are a part of the new Peachy Picks Kit that will be coming out tomorrow, too.  If you haven't gotten one of these kits yet, then  you are REALLY missing out!  There are so many wonderful things included, and again EVERYTHING you see here was a part of the kit.  Paper, card stock, ribbon, buttons, paper banner.  It's all there, and so much more!  For more inspiration and sneak peeks, be sure to visit the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog, because some of our other designers have some fabulous things to share, and scroll back to yesterday's post for even more sneak peek inspiration!!

Now on to the new challenge!  Our challenge today is a GREAT one!  I haven't done anything of a 3-D nature for so long, and this was so much fun!!  I guess I let the cat out of the bag, because now you know that the new challenge is something 3-D, but there's a twist to it, because it also needs to include a weather theme.  If I compare my shadow box card to our weather today, "wishful thinking" is what comes to mind, because it's snowing, blowing, cold and nasty outside here today.   Oh well!  Looking at this card makes me feel warm, so that'll have to do!  ;-)
As I mentioned above, this is a shadow box card, and the directions can be found HERE on Splitcoaststampers.  I stamped the CB-09 Gracee Goose stamp, which is a Country Bumpkin image with Memento Tuxedo Black in and colored her with Copic markers.  The patterned paper is some from my scrap bin, and the card stock is from Stampin' Up!.   The cute little sun and sentiment are the PKM-16 You Are My Sunshine stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.   I added a couple of gemstones to the frame and on her necklace and the rhinestone brads for some bling.  The grass was punched with a Martha Stewart grass border punch.

Be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see what the rest of our designers have created for this challenge, and it would be wonderful if you can join us for this challenge, too.  There's always a chance to win a prize if you play along, and you could have a chance to be one of our Top Peaches!

Oh, and before I go, have you heard that we're having a release party tomorrow?  Yep!  Join us at 10 a.m. CST for a release party to celebrate all this new peachy goodness!  You'll be able to chat live with our designers, we're going to play some games, and offer you a couple of challenges to play along with this weekend, and of course we're going to be giving away some stamps.  Click on the button below to take you to The Peachy Keen Connection, make sure you're a member, and look for the link on the front page tomorrow morning, which will take you directly to the release party thread.  Hope to see you there!!!

Whew!  I know this was a long post today, but there was just so much to share with you!  I thank you so much for dropping by for a visit, and I wish you a beautiful day filled with blessings and lots of happy stamping!

Good Luck To You

Good morning and happy Wednesday to ya!  Are you ready for some more card making inspiration?  I've got another card to share which showcases the CAH-UTE St. Patrick's Day Stamp of the Month stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps, and the Peachy Picks Kit.  Boy, have I EVER had a blast playing with these, and you're going to start seeing sneak peeks for next month's kit very, very soon.  I don't know how they do it, but they just keep getting better and better!!  Keep your eyes peeled for all the latest updates on the new release, and the mean time, I'll keep tempting you with all the wonderful things currently available.  Heehee!!

This card was created with Echo Park's Times and Seasons 6x6 paper pad, wood buttons, and twine, which was all included in the kit, along with a whole lot more for oodles of fun projects later.  The stamp set is the February Stamp of the Month PKSC-02.  What I really love about this little guy is the hair.  I started to put it together, and realized that he seemed to be missing a very important detail, so I started searching through my stash to see what I could come up with for hair.  What I found was some small cording in a peachy color.  I looped it to the back of the hat, and cut the strands, then frazzled them a little bit.  For some added color I gave him some darker tips using my Copic markers, and I LOVE how it turned out.  It just makes me smile, and I can't help it.  Everything was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  Some Spica glitter pens gave some added sparkle to the buckles of his shoes and hat, as well as the hatband and the straps on the keg.   I made the collar out of some scrap paper from the Echo Park pack, by punching with my scalloped circle punch and hand cutting to fit.  Oh, and I almost forgot the best part!  His head is popped up onto an Action Wobble, so he's got some wiggly action going on as well!  He is just as cute as he can be!!

I'm off to tackle a mountain of laundry and hopefully squeeze in some stampy time in between.  If you don't hear from me within in a couple of days, please send out a search party!!  Thanks so much for dropping by today.  I hope you like what I've shared with you, and I wish you a blessed, bright and beautiful day!  Happy Stamping!!!

Peachy Picks and Stamp of the Month Scrapbook Page

Good morning, and happy Monday to ya!  Did you have a great weekend?  I certainly hope so, and if you're lucky, you got some happy stamping time in.  Speaking of luck and or lucky, I've been having a ball playing with the new Stamp of the Month stamps and the Peachy Picks Kit from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I do believe that this kit is sold out for this month, but you can still order the terrific stamps I used today.  I'm telling ya that these Peachy Picks are a hot ticket item and there are a limited number of them available, which is why you need to sign up for the club to make sure you get yours every month with no worries.  It's a great deal, and you get so much fun stuff to work with!  I LOVE them, and just wait till you see next month's kit!  It's a dandy!!  Ahhhhhh...  Be still my heart!  ♥♥♥

One of my New Year's resolutions was to TRY and attempt more scrapbook pages.  In attempting to keep myself accountable for that resolution, here's one I came up with.  Let me tell you where I was going with this one.  You see, I know that I have pictures SOMEWHERE of my youngest when he headed off to college for the first time, and I loved the idea of the "Good Luck to you!", "Miss you!", "Love you!" and "Smile!" sentiments for this page, and I thought it was a way to show a great use for these stamps other than St. Patrick's Day.  There are LOTS of occasions when a "Good Luck" card or page would be in order.  The PKSC-02 has a HUGE assortment of stamps included in the set to give you a multitude of choices for cards and creative projects each and every day.
In addition to the PKSC-02 stamp set, I used PK-255 Happy Flowers and Cheerful Phrases for the sentiments, and PK-298 Size A2 Grampa's Pajamas (This one's a BIGGIE) background stamp, which is the pattern you see behind the shamrocks.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for stamping the images, and they were colored with Copics.  The backgrounds were stamped with Stampin' Up! ink in Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Baja Breeze, and if you haven 't used Peachy Keen background stamps, you don't know what you're missing, because they stamp so clearly and beautifully, you just wouldn't believe it!!

I think that's all I've got for ya today, but come back tomorrow because I've got a cute Good Luck card made with these stamps to share with you.  Have a blessed and beautiful day, and happy stamping!

Happy Spring!

Good morning!  As promised, I'm back today with a Cottage Cutz card.  I'm thinking Spring on this bright and beautiful Thursday by breaking out my new dies from the Spring release at The Scrapping Cottage.  For this card, I used the Watering Can with Tulips and Bunnies in the Grass Border, both of which are 4x6 dies and are now shipping.  Many of them are selling out fast, so get or orders in ASAP!

The watering can and tulips were cut with white card stock and colored with Copic markers, and with a little spring paper, ribbon, and some pearl embellishments, this card is finished and ready for wishing someone special a happy spring.

I'm so happy you could stop by today.  Wishing you a blessed and beautiful day and happy stamping!

Peachy Keen Inspiration Challenge

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  WOW!  It's been over a week since I posted, and I hope you didn't think I'd given up on my crafts.  I've been sick with a cold, and it really kicked my butt, but I'm up and around again, and back to creating.  Have I ever got some cute things to share with you.  I've got an adorable card and scrapbook page made with the new release from Peachy Keen Stamps to share with you soon, and tomorrow, I'll have a Cottage Cutz card to share, but today, I'm going back to some of my favorite peachy stamps, which I pulled out for inspiration in the current challenge over at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.  There's still time to play along, and that photo inspiration is sure to inspire some brilliant creativity!!  You should really go check it out, becaue there are prizes involved!!  ;-)    Here's what I came up with...
For this card, I used some Imaginisce patterned paper from their Berrylicious collection.  The strawberry stamps are PK-239 Faceless Fruit with PK-660 Laughy Taffy faces.   I pulled out some of my favorite Stampin Up! accessories with the waffle print satin ribbon in cherry cobbler, the tag, using the Tiny Tags stamp set and punch, as well as the eyelet border, which was done with the eyelet border punch on cherry cobbler card stock.  This is a small, 3x6 size card, which is a size that I really like to work with.  The images were stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black in, and colored with Copic Markers.   Below, you'll find  the Copic colors I used for this card.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today!  It's always great to have you drop by, and I thoroughly enjoy your comments and encouragement.  Have a blessed and beautiful day, and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Take Time To Smell The Flowers

Good morning!  It's still technically winter around here, even though our weather has been more like spring, so with all this spring in the air, I couldn't resist playing with the new Cottage Cutz dies from Peachy Keen Designs. Some of my all time favorite images are now available in die form, and they come complete with adorable face stamps to give you all the versatility you can imagine!!

For this card, I used the Cottage Cutz Shower Peepers 4x6 die, along with the My Little Shoebox Ornate Circle Frame 4x6 die. I added some pearls to the flowers, and pretty satin and organza ribbon for embellishment. I found this sentiment in a set of stamps I had from Peachy Keen Stamps called Spring Bouquet. I cut this chickie out with white card stock and I colored it with Copic markers. Before I colored, I stamped the face with Memento Tuxedo black ink, which is great for use with Copics because I never have to worry about it smudging. The patterned paper is some I had in my stash from Stampin Up!, and I did pop this cutie up onto an action wobble, so she's got a little bit of wiggle going on. What a happy card!!!

Be sure to head over to The Scrapping Cottage to check out all the wonderful new dies. There's still time to get your order in for the Valentine's Day release, and these Cottage Cutz by Peachy Keen Designs like I used today are now in stock, AND if that's not enough newness for you, you can now preorder the beautiful and absolutely gorgeous spring release!!  Oh, and just FYI, the Cottage Cutz dies by Peachy Keen Designs are available both at The Scrapping Cottage and Peachy Keen Stamps .

So glad you could join us here today! I wish you a blessed and beautiful day and some happy crafting, too!
