Everytime we go to Singapore, we always go to Little India to buy toiletries (my fave!) and chocolates at Mustafa, a Dept Store which opens 24 hours. For me, there's no other place as cheap as little india. The singapore souvenir is also cheap here: t-shirt, keychain, etc. Luggage and Electronics are also cheap here. Sometimes I met Malay Singaporeans who do the grocery shopping here. But this place is very crowded, so better to go there very early in the morning.
Clarke Quay, the best place to hang out
Another must visit place in Singapore is the Clarke Quay, which is known as the best place to hang out in Singapore. It's known as one of the nightlife spot in Singapore, but as my hotel is located near Clarke Quay, this place is also nice to be visited during daylight. There are so many nice spots to take pictures
Rucksack Inn 2, Singapore
This is the second budget hotel that we have been to in Singapore, the first one was our beloved New 7 Stories hotel in Bugis area, which has been closed due to the development of new MRT line. Too bad! And now I would like to write a review on Rucksack Inn which I might say a very recommended budget hostel in Singapore. Actually I found the name Rucksack when I was gooling, and I was curious on how the hotel would be. I search in hostelworld, it is one of the top ranked customers' budget hotel. But when I would like to book through Hostelworld, the private room was not available. I keep on searching how to contact the hotel by email, and finally I found their cute website www.rucksackinn.com
Ikea Alexandra Road and Anchor Point
Another must visit place in Singapore? Of course Ikea, as we still don't have it here in Indonesia. We read review that it has a great food court as well, so beside window shopping at Ikea we wanted also to try their food court. We went to Ikea from Clarke Quay station using bus 33. Actually it stops in front of Ikea, but as we were not sure where to stop (and we did not ask either), we stopped at two bus stops before Ikea:p So we had to walk passing all those automotive dealers. Quiet interesting though. By the way there are two Ikea in Singapore, the one we visited is one in Alexandra road. The food court is so lovely to be seen from outside.
Park Regis Hotel Singapore
I was really confuse to find myself a hotel in Singapore for my training. Firstly because it was the peak season and the price became so expensive which exceed my company's limit and also room availability issue, secondly I wanted to stay at the hotel which is not far from Rucksack Inn, the budget hotel I stayed previous to my training date.
Search many times through Agoda, finally I decided to choose the Park Regis hotel as it's a new hotel and located 5 mins away to Clarke Quay MRT station. And we found out that this hotel is in a walking distance from Rucksack Inn. Perfect.
The hotel located between Chinatown and Clarke Quay MRT. If you are coming from Clarke Quay MRT, exit E and you'll see this hotel once you are outside the station. You still have to cross the road by the bridge or at the traffic light. The location is perfect. It's close to the Anson Road (the financial district) where my training is conducted.

Dinner at Gluttons Bay - Esplanade
Found this place on our way to Marina Bay from Esplanade, the place remind us of the old days of Clarke Quay where we used to eat Satay there. We passed by the place at about 6 pm, the place was not crowded yet. But we intended to go to Marina Bay Sands Sky Park first, than we took bus 133 from Marina Bay, which is only one bus stop away from the Gluttons Bay. Arrived there at around 8.30pm and the place was really full. So if you want to eat here, better to come early.
