Last week, Cricket requested one of my little cards I posted for her hubby, apparently he rocks.
But I could have none of that.
I had to make a card all special just for this super rockstar man.
And I love it so much, I almost didn't send it.
Truth.
Every think that?
But it was totally made with rocker hubby in mind and so to Cricket it goes!
{should be there tomorrow!!}
The paper is a gift from Connie, DCWV Rockstar line.
The lady knows me.
I knew this little guy and this paper were a match made in heaven.
The stars are cut from some of the patterned paper and that stamp is from A muse.
He's colored with Copic Markers and the chipboard "u" is from Scenic Route.
I used the Sparkly pen on the words already printed on the paper and it worked like a charm!
Hope the rockstar likes it!

Somebody's hubby rocks!!
Thursday, January 10
You Rock!
Yep, you do.
And these cards do too because they were super fast to make and I needed a bunch because I know a lot of people who rock.
I colored the A muse image with the Copic Markers and then used my Sparkly pen to color just his shirt.
And friends who rock.

Feelin' Squirrely?
I am busy trying to make enough birthday cards to cover the next couple months so that I can stay on top of my Birthday Calendar!
And I am making a few cute lovey cards for that dreadful heart holiday next month to send out to a few friends.
Gave me a great excuse to ink up my new A muse stamps.
And use up some scraps...That's right all made from scraps!!
Love the simple design of these cards and the fact that I made them all in 30 minutes flat!
(not counting the coloring time)
All squirrels colored with the Copic markers.
I had to learn how to use them all over again since I haven't cracked them out in about a month!

Time to Par-tay!
What comes before Part B?
Par-Tay!!
My sister tells that joke every chance she gets, and although we all know the punchline, we always play along.
Makes me laugh.
Annoys my brothers, which makes her do it more.
Simple, card with bright summer colors.
Cameo coral and Summer Sun, in case you were wondering.
Stamp is from A muse.
Colored the drinks themselves (cosmo, mai tai and margarita) with prisma pencils and gamsol, then colored the flowers with gel pens to make those really pop and the drinks to appear more transparent.
Punched with a scallop punch and added some Black Glaze pen doodling.
The "Time to Party" stamp is a $1 stamp from Michaels.

Amuseapalooza Mini Challenge
Amuseapalooza is officially underway and they posted a little Mini Challenge today.
It is a doozie!!
Mini-Challenge - 9 stamps!
Your challenge today is to create a card design that uses NINE stamps.
So, here it is:
Go ahead and count 'em with me...
Grass
Dot
Lots of Dots
Lots of Circles
Harlequin
Flower Girl
Balloon Bouquet
Petunia
and the scallop border
Took a close up of the card so you can see that even that scallop of teal with the sentiment was stamped with the Dot stamp.
Someone had a card with this scallop half on a card with a greeting exactly like this last week, and I even commented..."I am so doing that!" Well, I did.
And now I can't remember who it was.
If it was you...thank you.
And let me know so I can update this post and give you the credit for this ingenious design idea, told ya I loved it!

Celebrate
Very simple wedding card today and Yes, that is glitter adorning the bride's gown and veil.
Glad I glittered this in my previous apartment and left the residuals behind!
The scallop, bride and groom and sentiment are all from A muse.
The polka dot paper is from Doodlebug and it is hard to tell but the card is actually deep purple.
I added purple stickles to her bouquet as well but you can't really see that either.
Amuseapalooza is coming to an end, or beginning, depending on how you look at it. So you may be seeing less A muse stamps in weeks to come, but hopefully my new Stampin' Up© stuff will be here soon and I can start playing with that.
And maybe, one day, I may actually get a catalog and see what that's all about...Geesh!!

Last of the elephants
...for now anyways.
I realized when I made my elephant baby cards that they were mostly intended for boy babies, so I tried to mix this one up just a bit so that if anyone I know happens to procreate anytime soon and produce something with more estrogen than testosterone, I am prepared.
The pattern paper in this card is super old, I think Doodlebug.
Used only black ink and pencils to colors, although now I am totally wanting those copic markers and they are waaaaayyyyy out of my price range.
Use the scallop punch again, but it didn't chew the paper because it is nice and thin.
Amuseapalooza Challenge #10
Love this challenge because it seems like a real challenge to me to try and use these tiny stamps on a scrapbook page, project or album.
Some other ideas are name frames, ATCs, bookmarks, altered notebooks, paint cans, clipboards, and wine tags! You may use your choice of ink, papers, colors, stamps (please use at least one A Muse stamp if possible), & embellishments.
Leave a comment on this post (one comment per project) and include a blog or gallery page link to a photo of your new original creation by midnight Pacific time Sunday, July 8th. (Projects must be new creations not previously posted or submitted to any A Muse contest.) Then they will draw a random winner on Monday!

One More Grill Card
Seems appropriate because most of us will be enjoying some grilled treats tomorrow, right?
This little girl stamp I actually now own as well as a little grill guy that I haven't played with yet.
The scallop is my new circle punch.
Added the black dots with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen.
The brackets is a 7 gypsy self inking stamp.
Enjoy the 4th and be safe, don't let those sparklers get away from ya!

Another Manic Monday
The moving is complete. Phew!
I am EXHAUSTED.
Everyone keeps telling me to be thankful it was just upstairs, which is a little easier, but those stairs were a killer.
And I am already missing my first floor apartment, sinks that don't leak, blinds that work, refrigerators where they should be...never knew what I had til it was gone.
And I have NEVER cleaned as much as I have this weekend in my life.
The new apartment was filthy dirty, like "how did these people live here?" dirty. So we were cleaning that. My mom and my aunt came and helped me Friday night and I swear they cleaned the kitchen for like 4 hours, walls and all! And the floors still need a good scrub.
Then, yesterday I had to go back downstairs and clean that apartment.
Let me just say, I had no idea there was an entire colony of dust bunnies living under the couch. Seriously, I have never seen so much dust. Guess I shoulda moved that couch once in the last 6 months.
And there was another colony behind my dresser and under Max's bunkbeds...Ugh, made me feel like I was living like a slob.
I felt really bad.
How often do people move out couches, furniture and vacuum? What is the norm?
How often are you moving big stuff and cleaning?
I also don't have a phone or internet yet, phone guy just didn't come on Friday. Nice, huh?! Hate the phone company.
They are supposed to be out today but we will see about that.
And I don't have the new SU catalog yet either...man, all around rotten weekend.
I did get some fantastic RAK mail love, especially a package that came on Friday and totally perked me up and made me smile, I will post those very soon.
If you sent me something, just know I got it, love it, and thank you so much...for now.
Just another quick grill card.
Looks like Christmas colors but I think it works.
And I am serious about the cleaning inquiry, give me the low down on your cleaning habits, I need to know what I should be doing.

That little Elephant...again!
Here's that elephant again.
Used a VERY old transperency on the bottom and some found gingham ribbon I got in a swap with that red gingham like 4 years ago!
Very simple, but effective if I knew someone who just had a baby boy.
Welcome, little one
I love love love this A muse elephant stamp, think it is adorable for a baby card, so I made several. Then realized, I know no one who is pregnant. Or anyone who has recently had a baby.
Duh!
Probably won't stop me from making a few more cards with this little Elephant.
And to think that I actually hate elephants (long story or several stories) but can't put down this stamp.
Ribbon is from Archivers, super cheap, like 29 cents a yard, I think.
What's Cookin'?
Love this sentiment so much!! (just wish there was a "good lookin'" stamp too!)
My buddy Carol had 2 grill stamps from A muse but no "saying" to go with them, until I bought this one at the big Sale a couple weeks ago.
It's that Red Gingham Ribbon...again!
And the grill is colored with the pencils...again!
Inked up that scallop and did some faux stitching with the white gel pen.
Voila!

Fishy Card
I apologize for the blur.
Been rushing lately with the move and all, my pictures have been suffering.
Used the little fishy stamp from A muse which I colored with my Prisma pencils and blended. Love how the colors aren't flat like with markers (not copic though!) or just pencils alone. Made sure to keep them light on the top sides because of the sun, right?!
The one little fishy is pink with glitter...made this last week for the challenge, still finding glitter on myself every day.
Didn't have any Best Fishes stamp so I used the one that reads, It's the little things that matter.
Patterned paper is super old KI Memories.
Rounded all the corners of the card just to make it a little different.
Happy Summer
Simple card for summer.
Love how I can layer these A muse Stamps and make a fast, cute card.
Shoulda moved the rectangle over just a smidge, oh well.
Used those Hero Arts Crystal Gem Stones again, just realized they come in different colors...duh!
Colored the straps of the flip flops with an American Crafts gel pen, got some to try from my buddy Carol and I love how opaque they are on colored paper, and shiny too.
Just noticed I'm using the Dunkin Donuts colors again...I think I subliminally want an iced coffee!

Ahhnouncing...Challenge #9 Entry
First card to fit this weeks Ribbon Challenge.
Found this ribbon over the weekend in a stash of ribbon I keep all tucked in a jar, looks cool but seldomly gets used.
The red and white checkered screams Summer! to me, picnics, kids, bright colors...all summer.
Used my new little announcer stamp because I just knew he was wearing that red jacket and it matched perfectly.
Once I started with this ribbon, I couldn't stop.
Used all I had, so expect to see a few more cards with this same color scheme.
When I got this little guy I kept asking myself, as I usually do before a purchase, what the heck will I use this for? What exactly is he ahh-nouncing?
This is how I stay on a budget and don't buy out entire stores...secrets of the frugal!
Figured he is announcing...Happy Birthday! or Congratulations! or You're Cool!
What can't he announce?!!!
So, yep, he passed the usefulness test and home he came.
To be turned into this...

It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?
This is one of the first A muse stamps I ever got my hands on way back in the days when I used to work at the Big "A".
I always loved it.
Love cocktails.
Love how these particular cocktails make me want to lay on a beach somewhere and sip them down, slowly as not to get a brain freeze.
Love how there are three choices for me, Cosmo, Mai Tai or Margarita....all yum!
Used the prisma pencils to color in the actual drinks, gel pens for the flowers and just doodled the scallop with a black marker myself.
After I made all these cards this weekend(I was on a roll), I realized, I ran out of white paper!!!
Oh the horror!!
Can you believe that?!!
So until I get my hands on more, looks like I am up for a challenge.
