Dracula Report Abuse
By Bram Stoker This was the first of all vampire books, and set the stage for all that have followed. This book will scare you, and in some parts even give you the creeps. The ending, however, always leaves me cheering for humanity.

This epic novel by Victor Hugo is the story of a man accused of stealing a loaf of bread when he was starving. The Pillars of the Earth Report Abuse
Although the newest novel on my list, it deserves to be ranked as a classic. I think that this book will be around for years to come. It begins in the year 1123 and closes in the year 1174. The story begins showing the hardness of life at that time and the power of the church and royalty. Ken Follett is more known for his work as a suspense writer, but this book shows his unbelievable ability at storytelling and creating characters of depth.
