Card for Emily
This is one of "Daisy and Butter Cup" Digital stamp set from Dustin Pike for Card for Emily. I couldn't link back to his blog because it was closed already. I hope my card will bring Emily a smile when she receives it.

OWH S&S Sketch Challenge #107 - Layered Butterfly
I received some beautiful ribbon stashes from one of my colleagues. I made this card by using one of ribbons for the bottom part. I used fabric flower petals for layers of butterfly underneath of stamped butterly image on top that I sponged ink and coated with Crackle accents. I love how it turned out.
However, I took this photo too early just when crackles started and the butterfly center was still wet. I should have waited longer but I was getting antious. Hope you will enjoy looking.
EDITed with a photo of completely dried butterfly as below.

OWH Cardmaking Party - Sunday, March 11, 2012
Thanks to Ladies: Susan & her mom, Karen, Janet, Sandra, Kathy, Joanie, Carla, Tricia, Patricia, Beckie, Janice and Diana for coming to OWH Cardmaking Party on Sunday, March 11, 2012 and making cards for the Troops. Great thanks to Beckie for making 40 miles driving for a round trip from Stockton.
We have 412 cards completed including the cards from February party. While I was gone away in February, Karen led the group and I am so thankful for her. Thanks for welcoming me back home! I missed you, Ladies!
In addition to our cards, we also received a beautiful collection of cards donated by Janice Rock via Carla. Thanks to Janice for her generosity.
It was such a wonderful day as always. I took photos to share by grouping of the theme: Happy Mother's Day, Love, Thinking of you & Miss you, Happy Birthday, Thank you and General.
Thanks to Joanie, Tricia, Seongsook and Carla for bringing tasty snacks. Thanks for shipping cost donation, too. Janice brought a paper trimmer for donation from her friend so I landed it to Tricia with an assignment for paper cutting. Oh, how much I feel blessed by your support, love, friendship and hugs.
Hero Blog
When I read a Hero Message at Hero Blog as I included below, I was so touched. As we make cards, we are so blessed and we bless our Troops by sending our handmade cards fort them to write back home wherever they are being away from their loved ones. I hope you enjoy it.

My Name is Sergeant Major L.S. and I am writing this e-mail to express my sincere thanks to all those responsible for Operation Write Home.
I had only been in Afghanistan for a few days when I realized if I did not send a card or something to my wife and my daughter for Valentines day it would be late.
I went to the little PX we have here to purchase a card or something and nothing - that's when one of my Soldiers produced a box full of cards some of which looked homemade.
I selected my cards sent them off for free and though I missed the suspense by a couple days my wife and daughter loved them.
I know we have e-mail, twitter and facebook but there is something special about a card or letter even if it's just a quick note inside.
My wife has saved every letter and card I have ever sent while on deployment.
So thanks again - what all of you are doing makes a big difference.
Very Respectfully
Sergeant Major L.S.
