SCOUG SIGs
To compliment the general meetings, SCOUG offers several special interest
groups (SIGs). At the SIGs you have an opportunity to meet in smaller groups
and focus on more specific subjects. SCOUG has five SIGs:
- Programming SIG - The Programming
SIG covers a wide range of topics including REXX, C, C++, Java,
Presenation Manager, OpenClass, and other recent developments in OS/2
software development. The Programming SIG meets after the General
meeting (on the third Saturday of the month) around 11:30 AM. For more information, contact SIG leader Rollin White.
- Networking SIG - The Networking SIG
discusses topics such as Warp Server for eBusiness, TCP/IP, and Client Server. The Networking SIG meets at 2:30 PM on the first Sunday of the month in conjunction with the club's OS/2 Help Desk and the NOCCC OS/2 SIG. It's at Chapman University, Hashinger Hall Science Building, room 203. Click here for directions.
Mail to Steve Schiffman for more information.
- Internet
SIG - Everyone is excited about the Internet - including the
Internet SIG. Join the Internet SIG for discussions of all aspects of
the Internet and OS/2. The SIG meets via IRC every Wednesday evening and if you have questions, Dave Watson can give you the answers.
- General Interest Group - here we explore all facets of OS/2, including some of the areas covered by each SIG. We also dedicate a portion of the meeting time to Q & A. This group meets immediately after the general meeting on the third Saturday of the month. Contact Tony Butka for more information.
- Sundial SIG - This SIG was formed to help users make good use of Sundial Systems applications, and meets on the third Saturday of the month following the general meeting. Is there something you'd like to do with DBExpert or Mesa 2 that you haven't figured out? Email Lynn Maxson with your ideas and for more information.
