| This is a 12 month fixed term contract based 3 days a week in our office in Welwyn Garden City AL7 1EL and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate a team of Finance Administrators. Ensure effective training needs are identified and addressed and make sure cover across team tasks is always present.
- Review and sign off daily reconciliations. Ensure the payments are correct to our clients and agents and are processed in a timely manner. Monitor and challenge differences and aged balances across various reconciliations.
- Perform various internal and client reporting in a timely manner.
- Escalate incidents to a PayPoint leadership level and advise cross functionally the impacts of settlement issues. The ability to support problem solving activities is essential.
- Experience in liaising with technical and IT teams is preferential, as system issues will need to be understood and communicated, and the role must ensure a controlled and systematic approach is taken to data correction.
- Covering for management tasks across the Finance Operations team.
- Other ad-hoc administration duties and providing cover for other roles in the Finance Operations team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong IT skills with good Excel knowledge
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility to work extra if required
- People management or team coordination experience
- Financial background
- Strong Excel skills
- Reconciliation experience - bank account or balance sheet
- Banking/BACS experience
