This May, Jollibee and creative agency McCann World Group Philippines honor all loving moms as they release a special Kwentong Jollibee Mother’s Day special that will remind everyone of the power of a mother’s unwavering affection and nurturing love.

Directed by Sheron Dayoc, ‘Schoolboy’ follows the story of a young boy as he overcomes his insecurities in his new school and achieves his dream with the help of his mother’s care and encouraging words that gave him the confidence he needed.

“There are many types of love in this world - one we share with friends, relatives, and significant others. But we know that it is the love that we receive from our mothers that make us feel more confident to embrace ourselves,” said Francis Flores, Jollibee Global Brand Chief Marketing Officer and PH Marketing Head.

For a child, there is no greater gift in life than having a mother who is there by their side and cheer them on as they grow up. “This Mother’s Day, we want to showcase the unique bond that a mother and child have and how this encourages the child to love themselves and live their life with a purpose no matter their personal condition,” adds Flores.

This year, Jollibee aims to once again shine the spotlight on moms as a fitting tribute to the person who never fails to provide encouragement and support every step of the way.

In time for this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, everyone is invited to bring their beloved mother and the whole family for a langhap-sarap feast at Jollibee. From May 10 to 12, customers who will purchase a 6-pc Chickenjoy Bucket will get a free sweet-sarap Jolly Spaghetti as a treat for the special day. In celebration of Philippine independence, Mega Magazine hosted anew the annual Pinoy Pride Ball, to honor homegrown talent—contemporaries whose crafts have defied the odds to succeed in the global stage, and to ultimately become Pinoy Icons.

Among the recipients of the Pinoy Pride Ball’s 2016 Global Pinoy Award was Jollibee—easily one of the country’s most-loved brands—for providing millions of Filipinos with langhap-sarap food across the nation, and a taste of home around the world.

The award was warmly received by Jollibee, who wore a barong tagalong to the Pinoy Pride ball, accompanied by Jollibee Global Brand Chief Marketing Officer Francis Flores. Jollibee is the first brand to receive this recognition, and was awarded together with 15 other Filipino achievers during the 7^th year of the Mega Pinoy Pride Ball.

Completing the 16 recipients of the Global Pinoy Award were Pinoy furniture designer Ito Kish, multi-awarded Filipino independent filmmaker Lav Diaz, world-famous singer Charice Pempengco, fashion accessory designer Ann Ong, 2016 Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Jaclyn Jose, award-winning singer Rachelle Ann Go, Dubai-based fashion designer Ezra Santos, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

Jollibee highlighted the joy and pride of being Pinoy and introduced the grandest Jollibee Independence Day campaign, “#PinoyAndProud: Ang Sarap, Ang Saya Maging Pilipino!”

This campaign closely follows two successful Pinoy pride celebrations from Jollibee. 2014’s “Foreignoy” campaign related the stories of foreigners who consider themselves Pinoys at heart, while 2015’s #HappyBdayPilipinas compiled wishes, hopes, and promises of the Filipino citizens.

As a Mom, we are our child's training wheels. One of our main objectives is to guide and prepare them for the future. We are the one who is responsible for molding them to become a good person and someone worthy of the society. Aside from teaching them good morals and ethics. It is also important that we build their self-esteem because it will be our child's armor against the challenges of the world. Kids who know their strengths and weaknesses and feel good about themselves seem to have an easier time handling conflicts and resisting negative pressure. These kinds of kids are able to grasp the reality with no trouble and are generally optimistic. That is why I always encourage my child to join activities and programs that I know will help boost their confidence and help them discover their talents or skills like the Jollibee Kids Club Talent Camp.

The program is composed of two fun-filled hours of workshop for six days that aims to develop social skills, confidence and talents of your child in an exciting and educational way. They will cover activities namely acting, drawing, singing, dancing and burger-making.

Watching them have fun and learn at the same time was a treat for me. I love seeing them make the best of themselves and share it to the world. I am glad that JKC was able to unleash their hidden talents and breakthrough their comfort zones.

Day 6: Graduation Day!

The graduation day was all about the fun-filled day activity. They performed in front of all their family. My kids were so happy that Papa and Kuya also came to their graduation and had so much fun watching them. They shine through singing and dancing, acting and how proud they were that they finished Jollibee Kids Club Talent Camp Workshop with the culminating ceremony.
