Building a gift catalog program that generates revenue
Challenge
RKD has been working with Save the Children USA since 2008. At the beginning of our partnership, we quickly realized that Save the Children had the programming, infrastructure and content to support a successful gift catalog program–they just needed the right partner to help them build it out.
Based on our knowledge of Save the Children’s mission, goals and brand and our extensive experience in gift catalogs, we worked with their team to launch the program and help expand it, both online and offline.

Over the years, our keys to success have been:

Results
The results have been outstanding! Over the years, the catalog has generated over $2 million in revenue for Save the Children’s cause. In 2020, our program overhaul delivered major results, with offline revenue up 50% year over year and online revenue up 62%.
Because of this success, Save the Children has been able to reinvest in their catalog program, growing its profile every year. Now, the catalog has transformed from a Spring and Holiday cadence to a holistic, year-round experience, with touches at Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Back to School and more. Most importantly, the gift catalog provides Save the Children USA with a flexible, consistent revenue stream throughout the year.
