Studzen Socks (January, -belarussian) are worked top down, beginning with the cuff.

SIZE: S(M,L) (60(72,84)sts), fits a foot or leg of 20(23,25) cm.

MATERIALS
YARNS: 75-90 g Alize Superwash (wool 75%, nylon 25%; 420 m/100 g):
Main Color (MC) 50-60 g
Contrast Color (CC) 25-30 g

NEEDLES: US 1 (2.25 mm), US 1.5 (2.5 mm). Please note, the heel flap is worked best with DPNs or a spare circular needle.

NOTIONS: 2 markers, cable needle.

GAUGE
32 sts/42 rounds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch.
34 sts/52 rounds = 4”/10 cm in pattern stitch.

CHARTS:
These charts are worked using slipped stitches. Unlike Fair Isle, there are no color changes during the round, no threads floating at the back of the work – or at the inside of the sock. Each round is worked completely in one color. At the end of each round, pick up the next color from underneath the color you just worked with to create a jogless striping (do not twist yarns).
