Macy playing Frank Gallagher - the self-absorbed patriarch always seeking ways to benefit himself; Ethan Cutkosky as Carl Gallagher - a young troublemaker whose loyalty runs deep; and Jeremy Allen White as Lip Gallagher - a brilliant mind grappling with personal hurdles along his academic journey. These actors are just a few from the Shameless cast list.

  • At the age of nine, actor Cameron Monaghan made his television feature debut as Winthrop Paroo, the cute-as-a-button Iowa boy who bonds with Professor Harold Hill (Matthew Broderick) in the 2003 version of "The Music Man" (ABC). His star-making turn as Ian Gallagher on "Shameless" (Showtime, 2011- ) was a more mature and complex version of those roles; a gay teen who hid his sexuality behind an aggressive and combative exterior, Monaghan won praise for his thoughtful and often daring performance, which was roundly considered worthy of Emmy consideration by television critics. Moreau made her feature film debut in the kid-friendly sports comedy "The Mighty Ducks" (1992) and reprised the role in the film's two sequels in 1994 and 1996. In between, she made her debut as a TV series regular playing the daughter of a female minister (Patty Duke) in the short-lived NBC sitcom "Amazing Grace." By 1998, Moreau was enrolled at Vassar and began to undertake slightly more adult roles, playing the daughter of a cop's widow who suspects there was more to her death than first believed in the USA Network film "My Husband's Secret Life." When she returned to the screen in 2001's feature comedy "Wet Hot American Summer," Moreau was cast as a camp counselor romancing a studly lifeguard (Paul Rudd). That same year, European moviegoers could catch her as a young woman with a taste for techno music and drugs in "Rave Macbeth," adapted from Shakespeare's play. 2002, however, offered the rising starlet two high profile parts in fantasy projects. A pale, oftentimes brooding young actor with heavy-lidded eyes, Noel Fisher transitioned from innocuous adolescent roles to intense portrayals of misanthropic teen outcasts and eventually, dangerously passionate or intensely pensive professionals. First garnering fans as Toad, the voice of the rascally neophyte mutant on the animated superhero smash "X-Men: Evolution," he began appearing on the big screen as sneering bullies and insolent, pimple-faced trash-talkers in such otherwise lighthearted comedies as the zippy after-school revenge satire "Max Keeble's Big Move" (2001). After a darkly comic role in the hair-raising horror sequel "Final Destination 2," playing a boy whose grisly, barbecue-related death serves as the film's closing moment of gallows humor, he took a turn toward increasingly edgier and more complex material. Few are likely to forget his depiction of the disconnected dog-torturer Danny in the eerie backwoods thriller "Red," but Fisher's work has most frequently been in the realm of television. In addition to co-starring as the son of a family of decadent crooks on the short-lived cable seriocomedy "The Riches," he memorably shook up the patent police-procedural formula with his performance as a grating forensics technician turned full-blown sociopath on the 11th season of the prime-time staple "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" ('09). He sometimes appears as brave soldier-types in projects such as the meditative wartime mini-series "The Pacific" and the explosive alien-invasion blockbuster "Battle: Los Angeles."

By the age of 4, she was already taking improv classes and soon landed work in commercials for companies including Stouffer's frozen foods and oil corporation ExxonMobil, as well as receiving roles in student films. At 8, she achieved another goal ahead of schedule by creating her own film. While watching an episode of the sitcom "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" in which the characters make a movie about vampires, Kenney was inspired to make one of her own, directing, shooting, and editing the four-minute short film "The New Girl In Town." Kenney wanted the story of a young vampire invited to a sleepover to be frightening, but the charming, inadvertently funny results, along with her youth, won over the judges at the New Jersey International Film Festival, which selected it to be part of their competition, making the young actress the subject of attention for local newspapers and television stations. Her national reputation was raised much higher in 2011 when she was cast on the Showtime drama "Shameless" as Debbie Gallagher, the fourth-youngest child out of six in a family fathered by a shiftless drunk (William H. Macy). In 2011, she also acted in an episode of the HBO prohibition drama "Boardwalk Empire." In addition to her interest in acting, Kenney loves animals and hopes to someday open an animal shelter.

He became quite well-known for one in particular, where he wore little but a kilt wandering the snowy streets of London warmed by his breakfast of porridge oats. Although he did several film roles from 1999 to 2002, it wasn't until he landed the role of Kenny McLeod in the television series "The Book Group" (BBC 2002-03) that he was widely noticed. While he was settling in Iceland, he auditioned for a new fantasy television series, "Game of Thrones" (HBO 2011- ). His take on the role of mercenary Sandor "The Hound" Clegane went on to define him for years to come. As an extra bonus, his sister Sally Gay-McCann, a costume designer for film and television, worked on "Game of Thrones" as well.
