Set in the late 1940s in London, Dieter Koehler (August Diehl), a German engineer who specialized in jet airplane technology, is seized along with his young daughter Lotte (Lucy Ward), taken to Great Britain and detained where Captain Callum Ferguson (Jim Sturgess) is assigned the task of getting Koehler to co-operate with the British government.
