Adult Swim hosted its first festival over the weekend in downtown Los Angeles. Musicians, comedians, and even an orchestra gathered to perform sets for a sold-out crowd. There were plenty of other attractions to keep the festival-goers entertained – all with an Adult Swim twinge. There was a mechanical bull ride where the bull was replaced with a hot dog, a couple VR and interactive experiences based on the channel's shows, some Rick and Morty mini-golf, and all the pizza, BBQ, and mac and cheese you could bat an eye at.
Ranker was in attendance on the last day of the festival. Performances ranged from the indie synth-pop duo Chaos Chaos to the heavy metal poundings of Power Trip to the night's headliner Run the Jewels. There was also an orchestra in attendance to provide the score for an episode of Rick and Morty.Â
Other activities included photo-ops with an inflatable Morty – with an intoxicated inflatable Rick looking on from the adjacent parking garage – and a game that involved the player traversing a rope ladder to hit the uvula of the fest's cat mascot.
