Quilt Market: Robert Kaufman

Robert Kaufman Fabrics has some very fascinating designers. At the industry trade show, Quilt Market, upcoming lines and patterns were unveiled. Carolyn Friedlander has Harriot coming out in March. Check out Carolyn's post for behind the scenes details. Hunt is shown below.
Harriot is a combination of yarn-dyed wovens and screen prints, including a scallop that makes a great border. Coordinating Kona Cottons are available.
Patterns shown below include Lott A, Lott B/C, and Lott D, Eads, Circles and Tangelo.
The fabric line is meant to give off a gender-neutral vintage wardrobe vibe.
Precuts will be available when the collection releases in February.
Violet shared some EPP in normal, smaller, and super tiny cuteness. This is her Fruit Basket quilt pattern.
Violet's patterns are genius in their ability to combine beautiful designs with a chance to learn new techniques. Have you tried EPP, inset circles, or quarter circles? Admittedly, I could use some additional practice on these techniques. Wouldn't Betty's Luncheonette be a great way for me to explore? I feel more projects coming on...

I do regret not taking a few moments away from the frenzy of inspiration to do some slow sewing with the Kaufman gals, as they kindly urged me to do.
Violet Craft's upcoming collection is Betty's Luncheonette, a tribute to her dad's mom who had a prime role in providing her a childhood rich in fond memories. Get all the details on her blog.
Collection patterns include Fruit Juice, available as a kit and featuring glue-basted inset circles, and the quarter circle-pieced Citrus Grove Quilt. Animal Abstractions is shown below.

Quilt Market: Lucky Spools

Lucky Spool is one of my favorite quilting publishers -- beautiful books and the nicest management. Their booth was like a great quilt; the more you looked, the more intricate treasures you found. The quilt below is from Inspiring Improv by Nicholas Ball (on Amazon). Gemology and Stitch Your Story are on the horizon.
The little cubical displays were picture perfect.
The pickle is from 50 Little Gifts by Susanne Woods.
Other featured projects were from Boho Embroidery: The Pattern Collection by Nichole Vogelsinger (on Amazon).
Do you own any Lucky Spool titles?

I'm all about Tula Pink's detailed prints and vibrant colors.
Her Quilt Market booth was a pleasure for the senses, as always. P.S. I spy Elizabeth Harthman's Lisa the Unicorn pattern to the right.
There will be free patterns too!
Marketing genius, Tula, has a special ByAnnie bag pattern, Running with Scissors, that holds her hardware collection perfectly. Take a Stand is the companion project pictured underneath.
Coordinating dots, stripes, and solids round out the rainbow bright array.

Pinkerville is Tula's next line, which she describes as a state of mind, an imaginary world of my own creation, and a place of total surreal escapism where all things are possible.
A new 108" marbled water backing called Blind Faith will be released. Practical Dazzle splendidly quilted this as a whole cloth.

Leave it to Tula to create a frenzy. This time she succeeded with limited edition unicorn patches that are no where to be found already.
Aside from the every popular Creature of the Year (unicorn), sea serpents make an appearance.
Ahem, I meant in the Pinkerville collection.
Prints include Gate Keeper with swans, a floral called Delight, water marbled Blind Faith, Enlightenment with butterflies, fanned Serenity, unicorn feature print Imaginarium, and confetti-speckled Fairy Dust.
Let's zoom in!
Are you going to add this to your Tula stash? I know I'll succumb to the temptation.
