To be fair, Sor-Eel isn’t dealing with any God Learner magics, his minions are.
Like this is anything new for Lunars. The Seven Mothers ritual was obviously refined God Learnerism, more subtle (and effective) than the making of Zistor, but no less ambitious and transgressive.

Oh dear! The Lunars have skyburned elves, delved into chaos, raised a vampire legion, sacrificed prisoners of war to the Tusk Riders, fed entire clans and nations to the Crimson Bat BUT NOW THEY HAVE DARED TO SACRIFICE AN INNOCENT LITTLE BUNNY RABBIT??? O_O
Quite clearly this time They Have Gone Too Far and the enormity of their crime shall be the reason their empire is now doomed to fall. ^_~
