I've got a new system installed that automatically sends PMs to you when you find an AP.
Eventually, you'll be able to go to the PrimeGrid preferences page and choose whether to receive such notifications, as well as the minimum AP length. (If you're finding 100 APs each day, you might not want to get notified for each AP20.)
For now, it's only turned on by hard-coding the user IDs. If you would like me to add you to the list, please let me know. For now, it's all or nothing. The ability to choose a minimum length will come when I add the user settings.

In the near future I expect to have the notification system fully operational. Once I finish the user preferences section, it will be turned on for everyone. The initial setting will be that everyone gets notified for all APs, length 20 and up.
The notification itself includes a link to the PrimeGrid preference page, so everyone who gets a notification will thus be informed that there's a new ability to set the length threshold for these notifications.
You will be able to set your preferences so that you get notifications for all APs you discover, only those APs of a certain length or higher, or none at all.

Dear Primefinder,
Congratulations! Our records indicate that a computer registered by you has found a unique Arithmetic Progression of primes of length 20........
Once again, congratulations on your find! Thank you for participating in PrimeGrid.

You will be able to set your preferences so that you get notifications for all APs you discover, only those APs of a certain length or higher, or none at all.
I completed the new preference selection code over the weekend, but I won't be installing it until after the challenge is over. If anything goes wrong, it would be better if we weren't in the midst of a challenge.
But if anyone wants to kick the tires a bit, head over to http://dev.primegrid.com. You can set the minimum length for automated AP notifications. Note that there's a single setting regardless of how many locations/venues you may have.
Likewise, there will also be only a single set of prime reporting settings, regardless of how many location/settings you have. This is a bug fix; even though you previously could enter different settings for each location/venue, the server actually only used the first set. All the others were ignored.

This system is now live.
You'll now receive a private message if you discover an AP.

Michael,
I love this new system of notifications. I have gotten 7 messages in the last 4 days, unusually high discovery rate for me, and each one has made me smile.

Hi Michael (Goetz)!
One of my volunteers was notified of the discovery of an AP20.
Workunit 543560689 : 272316363210031981+42493748*23#*n for n=0..19
Is there a place where you can view or generate the entire sequence (or a method to do it)?
Thanks so much for your reply :)

Indeed there is!
On the menu on the left, click on Your account. Scroll down a bit to the "Active Projects" section. The first project should be "AP26/AP27 tasks". Click on the link right next to the title view detailed statistics. This brings you to the page that shows all of your AP discoveries (including as double checker.) Each AP listed is a link. If you click on those links, it shows you the complete expansion. This is an example.

So, I started back on AP and noticed that there is now a "recent" prime notification. Very nice.
Cheers Rick
