As you can see from the intense stare, she thoroughly enjoyed it.
"OMD. Where has this been all my life?" |
She didn't really understand how something so delicious can come packaged in something so tasteless. Tasteless is NOT a good end to an ice cream cone, in Rita's humble opinion.
So, yeah, that was the mischief. She tore the cone apart and spit it out all over the backseat. On the seat cover that I had JUST washed. Nice.
Thanks to Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Alfie’s Blog, and My Brown Newfies for hosting Monday Mischief!
Ha ha Rita. We probably would have done the same with the cone. Who eats them anyway? Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
True about the cone. I'll only eat a waffle cone!
DeleteMy comment disappeared, so if this is a repeat, sorry! LOL. The cone is just a carrier. We take our little pack to the DQ for birthdays where they share a small dish of softserve. Yep, they eat off the spoon. No cone mess and no brain freeze :-)
ReplyDeleteGood idea to get a dish at DQ. But DQ is way far away from our house - McD's is close by. (I prefer DQ myself though!)
DeleteHmmmm, maybe this will have to become Reggie's special treat on his next b-day. Rita got it right -- those silly cones taste like cardboard. She is one lucky girl -- won the doggy lotto for sure.
ReplyDeleteShe did have an awfully good coupla days. Thur an ice cream cone and Fri a walk on the beach.
DeleteI'm an ice cream fan and I don't care for the cone either! Although I've never tried a waffle cone, they may be better.
ReplyDeleteNever tried a waffle cone?! Your assignment is to get out there today and try one!
Deletewe got to share some ice cream this weekend too!
ReplyDeletehugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Yah for more lucky pups!
DeleteHope you got one for yourself! May have to get one for Indy on her upcoming adoptiversary.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Indy would enjoy it!
DeleteOh - and yes of course I got something for myself! But I had a hot fudge sundae. Couldn't hold a cone for myself while feeding her hers so got a sundae so it could sit there while I fed her her cone. I hadn't had one in years! They don't make the best sundaes ever, but they're not bad and cheap and not too huge so you don't feel super decadent!
DeleteHILARIOUS! This is why we wash car seats. Kids do the same thing - choose to puke everywhere right after a carpet has been steam cleaned.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that removable/washable car seat cover thing is worth every penny!
DeleteI love ice cream too! Mom's learned not to let me eat it in the car, it gets everywhere! Love Dolly Pees: Frozen yogurt is yummy too!
ReplyDeleteRita's so weird - she hates regular yogurt, so not sure if she'd like the frozen kind. Will have to experiment. And good point about not eating it in the car next time!
DeleteMy guys are no where near so picky. Tasteless cone is all part of it and it disappears in a nano-second!
ReplyDeleteI know right? Don't normal dogs just nom-nom-nom their way through the WHOLE thing?? She's not normal.
DeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteMy Human always gets a cup of ice cream instead of a cone. I like it better. My Human Papa likes a cone, but I agree with my Human...no cone!
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Clearly we'll have to go with the bowl next time for Rita!
DeleteI kinda like the cone....as long as it stays crunchy. If it is soggy, then forget it. Usually, I just get a little cup of frozen yogurt. It is rare to get actual ice cream. *high paws* to Rita.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this was a rare treat for Rita too - we've had her 2 1/2 years and this was her first time!
Deleteohh so much fun! to bad for the seat cover though :) But then again she is a lucky dog to get such a wonderful treat!
ReplyDeleteYeah, she went from the mean streets to easy street!
Deletepicky girl played by rita! That's a scream.
ReplyDeleteIce cream
Cole lives for it and is disappointed each evening none appears
LeeAnna at not afraid of color
I'm with Cole - I live for ice cream too! It's my fave thing.
DeleteShe is like me, hates the cone, maybe ask for it in a bowl next time lol!
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time I'll get the chocolate sundae, eat the chocolate bit off the top myself, and then give her the 2nd half.
DeleteThe message is clear..next time get a sugar cone :)
ReplyDeleteShe might be into that. Or a waffle cone.... but you never know with her. She is SUPER picky! She's been known to spit out a bite of waffle if it's not syrupy enough for her!
DeleteWhat a sweetheart! I agree with SlimDoggy!!!! BOL! Do you believe that Dakota has yet to have people ice cream? Must give him some before summer is over!
ReplyDeleteYeah - definitely get to a DQ or a Mickey D's with that boy!
DeleteLooks tasty! We rarely get human ice cream, but it is good stuff.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Rita was in heaven. And it was the low fat stuff (probably just ice milk really) so imagine if she had real ice cream!
DeleteLOL That back seat was just too clean! :-) Yay for Rita's first ice cream!
ReplyDeleteYou know how dogs have an aversion to being clean? I guess she didn't want to be on a clean back seat either!
DeleteSo much happiness! My two got ice cream this weekend as well :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny. Must have been an ice cream vibe going!
DeleteSo cute!! I think she would have preferred a sugar cone or a waffle cone! We've never taken our dogs for ice cream....clearly they are deprived and maybe we'll have to do that soon.
ReplyDeleteClearly your dogs are deprived. But then... that would mean Rita was deprived until as of last Thursday!
DeleteWhat a lot of fun and deliciousness! Ripping up the cone must have been quite satisfying.
ReplyDeleteYeah, she seemed to enjoy tearing that thing up!
DeleteHarley had ice cream on Friday also. He loved it - ate the entire pup cup!
ReplyDeleteHooray for pups getting ice cream treats!
DeleteOh Rita how could your mom wait so long to give you your first cone. My gang loves cones! Looks like you really enjoyed it. Have a great night.
ReplyDeleteI know... can you believe we've had her 2 1/2 years and this is her first?? What have we been doing over here????
DeleteRita looks like she is really enjoying that cone! :)
ReplyDeleteShe was in doggie heaven!
DeleteThat video is hilarious! She has to learn to push the ice cream down inside those cardboard flavored cones! She eats her ice cream like a dog after my own heart! ☺
ReplyDeleteHey, a dog's gotta live!
ReplyDeleteThe cone is sort of like the crust on bread, not meant to be consumed by man or beast, but parents always insisted we eat it. Loved the video
ReplyDeleteHahaha I agree with Rita!
ReplyDeleteHaha Rita, did you think the ice cream came in a cardboard package? :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed
I hope you're having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
We must try this, maybe it will be a great bonding for us, Ice cream + dog + human = hapiness :)
