I decided to hop down to Lakeland, FL to visit Sun-n-Fun, the large general aviation fly-in and convention that occurs there each spring.
Since I was only going for one day it didn't make much sense to try and fly my plane in and out. (Especially since the airport is closed to general traffic from noon - 6pm each day for airshows!) So I flew down to Tampla, FL on Delta and rented a car instead.
It was awesome! My camera battery died by noon so I didn't get pictures of as many airplanes as I would like, and didn't really catch any of the airshows with it. (Photos of airshows never do them justice anyway.)
It was great to see all these cool aircraft, plus watch some amazing aerobatics and see some truly unique aircraft fly. I also enjoyed perusing the vendor areas and meeting some of the faces behind the companies that it seems like I'm giving all my money to. 8)
