Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday Freebie!!

Hello Everyone!! Welcome to another fun Wacky Wednesday over at Robyn's Fetish!!!

Today we are featuring Melinda The House Mouse with her beautiful flowers!! I have done a VERY simple arrangement here today. My daughter was coloring this image earlier (as her little brother hung over her shoulder) and he kept wanting it and wanting to see what she was doing but didn't feel like coloring at the time.

So...with his birthday coming up this weekend, I made a very simple "boyish" postcard for him with the image that he was googling over so much today!!

I colored the image in digitally using MS Paint. (one of the awesome advantages of digi images!) I then printed her out. I trimmed it leaving a white border like and old photo would have. (I love that look!) I used a blue strip of cardstock on the left hand side of my black background that matched very closely to the blue pot that the flowers are in. I adhered Melinda to the center.

My son and I always do the sign language symbol for I Love You to each other. It's something he started about 6 months ago and we do it all the time now. It melts my heart every single time he throws that sign out to me. Sometimes...it's silent and sometimes he says it as he does it. Sigh...he's so ridiculously cute. Anyway - I thought it all too appropriate that I have it in a rubber stamp version!!So that is my sentiment to him on his birthday postcard. I used my circle punch (1 1/2") to cut it out and the next size (1 3/4") in the same blue as the corresponding strip.

Lastly, I punched 2 small holes, threaded square letter beads spelling his nickname and tied them on with linen twine from The Paper Source.

I can't wait to give this to him on his birthday!!! Here's a couple of pics of my cutie patootie!!!All smiles!!! And SO psyched for his AIRBRUSHED tattoo!!!

I hope you've enjoyed my creation!!

Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday Freebie!!

Hi All!!

Welcome to another awesome Wacky Wednesday Freebie Day over at Robyn's Fetish!! Today we have Candy Glamour Girl to give away!! She is TOO cute and just adorable for a number of different types of cards and/or scrapbook layouts!!
I, once again, per my New Year's "agreement" with myself - delved into my scrap drawer (and bin...oh and the other scrap bin...and that box over there...) hehe...and pulled together an adorable mish mash of lights and darks to form my card.

I started wtih a light pink base, of which I rounded all of the corners. The second layer is from a Mat stack (I believe) as is the pink stripe down the center. The other solid pieces are scrap from either SU! or PTI cardstock.

I stitched the dark green layer down with a zig zag stitch. I then added the pink ribbon with white stitching on the right hand side but it seemed off balance. I then added the River Rock scrap with the pink DP down the center. I used SU!'s Birthday Beauty, to stamp crowns and a microphone, as I think this cutie looks like a Beauty Queen with her adorable rollers, nightie and ever perfected, oh so gracious wave!! The sentiment inside (Wishing You A Day Filled With Beauty and World Peace) and out (Birthday Beauty) also came from this set. The word FOR on the front is from a SU! rub on set.
I used my Quickie Glue Pen to add the gold sparkles for the crowns. I then stuck a little puffy heart stick pin through the ribbon.

I colored up Candy with a variety of my Copics and Souffle pens. The flowers on her nightie are from an SU! rub on set and her make up bottle and brush handle are sparkled up with Doodlebug Black glitter applied with my Quickie Glue pen as well.

The inside is decorated with a freebie image that I grabbed while browsing Lori's Links (see sidebar) and I know it's a little 'holiday-ish' but it was just too pretty and sparkly not to use!!
You can see that I added my sentiment on another piece of scrap for some dimension and I added a little scallop bottom for visual interest.

I hope you've enjoyed and find inspiration in my WW card!!!

Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday Freebie!!!

Hello Everyone!!! Welcome to another fantastic Wacky Wednesday Freebie!! Today we had the pleasure of working with the ever adorable Gretchen!!
She is just so CUTE!!!

I was feeling in a "simplistic" mood...which is unusual for me!! But I like to try to force myself to branch out and try different styles as often as I can so I went with clean and basic for this.

I started out with a scrap of MS pink cardstock for my base. My next layer is from a Mat Stack and is primarily chocolate brown with faux cross stitched hearts in a variety of colors.
I then (knowing I wanted to incorporate this sheer, polka dotted, turquoise ribbon - cut a line right in the crease of my card, threaded it through and tied it into a super cute fluffy bow.
I then set to coloring Gretchen. I colored her face, hair, legs, shoes and cutie apron with my Copics. I then ran some polka dotted DP through my printer and paper pieced her DRESS!! Paper Piecing is one of my favorite techniques!!! I love the added dimension it lends to a project.

I matted Gretchen to a scrap of light blue paper and stitched a zig zag in chocolate brown just down the right side of the panel.
I then added a Doodlebug sentiment "Just Plain Happy". Stamped in SU! Purely Pomegranate on a scrap of white cardstock, backed with the same light blue. Lastly, I added a tiny heart puffy sticker - super throwback to my early 1980's sticker collecting days!!
I hope you enjoy my creation!!

Now don't forget to check out my fellow DT members creations!! I ALWAYS fine fabulous inspiration through each and every one of them!!!

Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday Freebie!!

Hey All!! Here I am with another week of the awesome Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday Freebie!! This week you are SURELY going to want to grab the ADORABLE and NEW image!!! Perfect for that special someone for Valentine's Day!!
I went with what ended up being more "altered art" than card really. But it is a card that I will be giving my 3 year old for Valentine's Day. I designed it with him in mind, actually. The puppy reminds me of our dog Billy so I colored him to somewhat resemble him. All black and white spots with one patch of brindle. =)
I printed out puppy and colored him with my Copics on his spots. And traced him with my lightest Grey Prismacolor marker - 10% cool grey. Just to give him a little dimension. My son's favorite colors right now are green, purple and blue. So I tried to run with that as much as I could but I also tried to let myself just go where my creative side wanted to go. And it went alright!!

I continued to color the puppy's heart with my Copics and Sakura Sparkly Gel pens. I then used my Diamond Glaze (last thing I did) for the inside of the heart. I used my Souffle pens for his furry tuft on his chest. I matted him on a piece of kraft paper and corner rounded two of the corners.

My card measures 6x6. The card base is a light green from a Martha Stewart jumbo cardstock pack I bought on sale at Michael's. The next layer is from an older SU! 6x6" paper pack. I then pulled out an old, vintage postcard that's in his favorite shade of blue. I backed it with more MS cardstock in Navy and used Modge Podge to give it a little sheen.

I trimmed out the hearts with wings and the heart that says courage as my boy is simply one of the most courageous kids I know. Not with everything but with things that matter the most.

The LOVE stamp is from an old SU! set. I stamped it and heat embossed it. Backed with a little scrap of the same yellow and white paper that you see in the scallop next to the puppy. I stitched carefully around the outside and adhered it with a foam pop dot. I needed something in the upper left corner so I used a Doodlebug stamp LAUGH, stamped and heat embossed. I then realized that I had the sentiments laugh and love and the third one LIVE just goes perfectly with them!! So I used some silver sticker letters to add the LIVE sentiment next to the puppy.
That left the right side of the puppy a little blank looking. So I used my notch punch from SU! - you know...the one with the little half moon on it? to create the scalloping on the right side. I punched holes and added the copper brads. Lastly I added a cool skull sticker to the bottom. Just peeking up a little...my boy loves pirates!!!

So all in all while this card is mish-mashy in my opinion I love how it came out, I love that it makes me think of my darling Tyler and I know he'll love it for Valentine's Day!!!

Thanks for visiting!! Please check out my fellow DT members gorgeous creations as well!! They provide SO much inspiration!!!

Robyn's Fetish - Wacky Wednesday Freebie!!

Hi Everyone!! Welcome to another FAB week of Robyn's Fetish Wacky Wednesday!! Not only is today a WW Freebie...BUT we have our ENTIRE team assembled!!! You are going to see LOTS of new "faces" and blogs so PLEASE be sure to visit them all as all of our new and seasoned ladies are ABOVE AND BEYOND talented and you will most definitely find inspiration from all of them!!

Today we are working with Me and My Bear!! Isn't she adorable??? You MUST grab her up at the Challenge Blog after visiting with all of our lovely ladies!!!
I created a simple pocket card to hold a bookmark for my 5 year old daughter. She is so excited about learning to read and LOVES her books that have those pre-added ribbons to hold your place. I started with a 5.5 x 5.5 square card using MS black cardstock. I then adhered the clear Hambly acrylic sheet over a piece of SU! DP. I stitched them together and adhered them to the card leaving the top 'open'.

The stickers in the background are from an old SU! Simply Scrappin' kit.
I colored "Me and My Bear" with my Copics and glittered up the adorable bear she's holding with a mix of white velvet flock and sparkly white glitter. The image itself is adhered to chipboard for sturdiness. I used my SU! notch punch (the half moon little one) to create the scallop for the top of the bookmark. I hole punched and then used a shiny silver brad for a cute little embellishment to thread my ribbon through. I hand wrote the word READ on the side.

The back is a scrap of DP that looks like vintage notebook paper and will be perfect to write the date and names of the books when she starts to really read on her own!!
Lastly, I added her initials to the front of the acrylic overlay using Doodlebug rub-on transfers.

Thank you SO much for visiting on this exciting day!!

Most of our team is creating today so PLEASE check them all out and leave lots of love in their comments section!!!

Then go to the CHALLENGE BLOG to pick up your freebie and be sure to leave LOVE!!!!
