Olivia's first REAL haircut

Liv has been asking for "short hair" for the longest time. I just love long hair on my girls, it's so fun to curl it and put it up in different looks, but lately she's had a lot of knots and it's been really painful for her. So, I decided to let her cut it and make it easier on all of us.
Before

She felt so big getting her hair washed like Mom

Here goes the first cut...no turning back now!

So cute! I was surprised how well it matches her personality.
She's so sassy, cute and fun- just like her hair!

Last Dance Recital with ADA

I always look forward to Emma's recitals. She is such a talented dancer, and her dance studio is amazing. We have loved being with American Dance Academy, and we are so sad to leave. We hope we find something just as good in Texas!

East Canyon Fishing

Jeremy wanted to ride his bike up Emigration Canyon, and since my parents were staying there, we decided to meet him up there and make a day of it.

We hung out with my parents, ate lunch, and then went fishing! Both Landon and Liv caught a fish.

It was a beautiful day in the canyon and also a nice time with Grandpa and Grandma.

My Birthday

I really hate spending time away from my family on my birthday, but since it happened to fall on a weekend AND it was the last birthday I was spending in Utah, my husband was very thoughtful and sent me away for a girls' spa weekend in Mesquite Nevada.

We drove there on Friday morning; which is half of the fun. There is nothing like a road-trip with just the girls...Oh the things we talk about!

First, we stopped off in St. George for a little Mexican Fiesta

Then as soon as we arrived, we headed to the pool.

Afterwards, we got all sexy to go dancing
(hence the sexy pose).

I just love these girls!

We went to the one and only dance club in Mesquite
that had just opened up. Apparently we were the only
ones that knew about it.

Well, us...and four 70-year old women.
BUT THOSE CHICKS COULD DANCE!

We left early.

The next morning, we all spent the day at the spa
and of course the pool.

Apparently Mesquite isn't a "girls trip" vacation
as much as it is a"boys golf trip" destination...

I have never been out-numbered by men at a pool.

And not just any men.
Middle-aged men with farmer/golf tans, guts, and absolutely
no interest in anything other than belly-flop competitions.

It's was both funny and sad at the same time.

Afterwards, we got ready and set out to the casino for a little gambling.

AND I WON
$10,000!!!!!

Then I remembered it was Penny Slots...so it
was more like a 100 bucks. But still...

The next morning was my birthday!!

I woke up early to enjoy some solitude and to wait
for my parents to drive up to meet me for breakfast.

Later that night I was home to celebrate with my cute
family and got lots of hugs and cute home-made cards

(I didn't have the heart to tell Emma she forgot the "H")

It was probably my favorite birthday because I got the best of all worlds-
My friends, my parents, my husband and kids,
and cake.
