HAED?

I don't like Heaven and Earth Designs. I've never had the urge to buy a pattern or stitch one. And if that is the case then why did I buy six of them in the past week? I must be so bored! Here are a few...

I really like this one...

I've gone nuts! And I notice thats what many say when they fall under the HAED spell. At least they are all Quick Stitches, but really that's an oxymoron because these Quick Stitches could take me years to stitch! :) Well, I didn't get any stitching done last night - I was just too tired! Hopefully tonight! Write later! :)

I Feel So Boring...

...Being a one-at-a-time girl. All I have been working on is Queen Anne's Lace lately. It's the only thing calling to me right now.

I had a very nice weekend with my dh and it went by way too fast like always! We are getting ready to list our house with a new realtor. I really hope she'll be able to get it sold faster. We lowered the price quite a bit and the realtor thought we have a much better chance with the market being the way it is right now. Well, not much else going on! Write later! :)

A Little More Queen Anne's Lace...

I worked on Queen Anne's Lace again last night. I'm still working on the side of the skirt - although I did get some roses done! That was a nice change, but also a lot of color changes!

Queen Anne's Lace as of 7/26/07.

I also got a couple more charts the other day...

Little House Needlework's "Gourmet Garden" and "Garden Pleasures."

I love these new LHN's - I think they're so cute! Well, I'm watching my niece, Halle, and Matthew, so I'd better go. They're both a little fussy and Matthew is trying to take off his diaper!

A Little Bit of Stitching...

Whenever I go away it takes me a few days to get back into my routine. I got just a little bit stitching done on Queen Anne's Lace last night.

There's really not much of a difference since the last picture.

Well, nothing really going on here right now! Write later! :)

No Stitching

I made it back last night about 7:30 pm. Matthew and I were both worn out! It was a lot of driving, and I hope I don't have to do that again anytime soon! He really did do pretty well. He was definitely sick of that car seat near the end though.

Right before I left I got a package from Stitching Bits & Bobs. I had ordered a few things about a month ago when they were having a sale. I can't resist those sales! And I couldn't resist getting "Elizabeth Savilles 1841" by Finger Works after seeing Vero's start on it.

"Elizabeth Saville's 1841" with 36 ct. Vintage Meadow Rue linen.

I also got a couple of Prairie Schooler charts - "Friends" and "Forget-Me-Nots." I'm hoping to get some stitching done tonight because I wasn't able to get any done this weekend. Well, Matthew is crying - write later!

I Played Hooky Today!

I went to Nantz Needlework in Holiday today. I had to get my "Stitches and Wishes" partner's package together. I got her Trilogy's Beatrice and the threads to go with it. She had it starred on her wish list so I hope she likes it all! It's a cute pattern. I picked up my package too. I got Helen Bell's Multiplication table, but unfortunately I already got it from Kathy Barrick-Dieter when she sent all the patterns to me. It was my fault, I forgot to take it off my wish list at the shop. Duh! So I'm going to put it on my sale/trade blog. I did get a little bit of stitching done while I was there...

I've been stitching away on Queen Anne's Lace. It's a fun stitch so far. I'm looking forward to stitching with a different color though! :)

I also received a gift certificate along with the pattern, so I got a couple things with it...

I got Little House Needlework's Colonial Dry Goods and a couple of Crescent Colours to go with it. I also go The Sweetheart Tree's Lavender Radiance. The ladies at the shop are going to do a SAL on Tuesdays starting in August. That should be fun! An excuse to get out once a week! :) Well, not much else. Today is Matthew's "real" birthday. We went out to eat and he was such a good boy! I'm taking him up to Georgia with me tomorrow. Hopefully he's a good boy on the drive up! :) Write later!

Wearing his Birthday Boy shirt again! :)

Wow!!!

I received a package from Cathy (Needle and Thread) today. I was the winner on the Friends Gather BB. I stitched a LHN design and my name was drawn. First of all I never win anything! And second of all I don't think I've ever had anything stitched just for me, so this is a double treat! It definitely made my day. In the package was a beautiful fob with the lady from the LHN design "A Stitcher's Prayer" stitched on the front and then on the back our initials and the year. She also included some beautiful Gingher Scissors and some Blackbird Designs Moda fabric. She definitely outdid herself! I absolutely love everything!! :)

The front of the fob with all the goodies!

Another view of the front.

The back of the fob.

Thank you again Cathy! You definitely made my day! :)

Loose Feather

I got the new Loose Feathers (Beneath the Sunlit Sky) yesterday.

I was thinking of stitching it on 32 ct. Platinum Belfast. I think the threads look really pretty on it.

I got some not so great news today. My husband just called to tell me he will not be able to get Sarasota. He will have to go to Charleston for three years. I had planned on staying here with my mom, but I just don't know if I can do it. I've been trying to get used to being apart, but it's much harder than I thought it would be. We'll just have to see what the future brings. Hopefully we get our house sold soon!

Write later!

Birthday fun!

Matthew's birthday party went very well yesterday. Matthew was so cute. He had just woken up from a nap though, so he wasn't too interested in eating cake. He did have fun with his grandmas and aunts and uncles.

Matthew

Elmo Cake

Hmmm... I don't know about this!

Having fun riding on his new truck!

After everyone left I was just exhausted! I could have fallen right to sleep, but the boys had other ideas! After I got everyone to bed I managed to stitch a little bit on Queen Anne's Lace.

Queen Anne's Lace as of 7/15/07

It's looking a little less like a blob and starting to look more like a dress! :) I had a nice weekend with dh. We went out to eat Saturday night and then he left after the party on Sunday. The poor guy though - he was stuck in traffic for a couple hours and then got a flat tire. It just wasn't his night, but he made it back safe and will now most likely have to get new tires put on the car. Fun, fun! Well, not much else going on right now. Write later! :)

I normally don't post twice in one day, but...

I got mail! And knowing that I'll probably have a busy weekend ahead of me I thought I'd go ahead and share it now. I signed up for "The Lady's Collection" class by Brightneedle through Elegant Stitch a couple months ago, maybe longer? I had almost forgot about it until I got a package in the mail today. The linen and silks are so pretty!

"The Lady's Collection" by Brightneedle.

Silks, Fabric, and Linen for "The Lady's Collection."

Who knows when I'll actually start it - I have already started way too much recently! I need to get a couple things finished before I'll allow myself to start anything else. :) I have to share one last picture of Matthew. He such a funny guy!

Matthew - almost one year old!

I still can't believe he's going to one next week. This year has flown by! We're going to have an Elmo party for him Sunday. He loves Elmo. Whenever I put in an Elmo DVD he starts singing "La la la la." it's so cute! I'll post some pictures on Monday! Write later! :)

More Blob!

I worked on Queen Anne's Lace again last night. Even though I just have a small portion of the dress stitched it makes me remember why I love Lavender and Lace designs so much. It's the shading. It's like stitching a piece of art. I love the colors in this section, which are the DMC 924 range. Probably one of my favorite color ranges in the DMC line. Anyway, enough rambling here's a little wip pic.

I made a few more fobs, which I'll be adding to my trade blog lately. I love making them, but have no use for so many. Although I do like to match them up to whatever I'm stitching. That's a little OCD, huh? :)

My hubby comes home tonight, so I've been cleaning trying to get our rooms somewhat presentable. I do have to be thankful I only have to worry about 2 rooms and a bathroom right now. My mom cleans the rest of the house. I will definitely miss that when we move out. Speaking of which our listing is up on our house. We have to find a new realtor. It's been on the market now for 8 months and no bites. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer! Well, not much else! Write later!

Confession Time

Ok, I don't know why, but I got the urge to start something new last week too. I'm just weak. Anyway, it's just a blob, so I thought it would be fun to "Guess That Blob!" And the first person who sends me an email with the right answer will get one of my super, handy, dandy fobs! :) Ok.. ready for the blob??

Name this Blob!

I'll even throw in a hint. The linen is 32 ct. Cobblestone Belfast (the recommended fabric for this design). So that's what I worked on last night while watching the National League lose the All-Star game for the 10th time in a row! Write more later! :)

Update - You all have had some really great answers, but none right yet. OK, I'll make it a little easier... It's a Lavender & Lace pattern. Someone's got to get it now! :) P.S. I fixed the email link - duh! Leaving a comment is fine too! And oops - I'm sorry I thought the Cobblestone was the recommended linen for this pattern - it's close though. The actual linen recommended is Barnwood or Dirty Belfast. Sorry people! I'm really making you work for this!

Update #2 - Katrina got it! It's Lavender & Lace Queen Anne's Lace. I've wanted to stitch this for at least 10 years and I'm finally going to do it! :) Thank you all for playing along!

Oops I almost forgot about the stash I was going to share...

Shepherd's Bush "Life and Liberty" and "Glory Fob."

The Sampler Co. "Heaven Doth Ask Sampler" and "Kind Fond Love Sampler."

Fancy Work "Whitman's Tin Sewing Set."

I finally got the above pattern to go with my tins... now if I could just get my hands on that 1930's tin! :) Well, that's definitely all now! Write later!

A New Start

I really tried to be good. I tried to work diligently on my wips. But I received some stash in the mail yesterday and I was bored and those two things are never a good combination, so I started something new...

Historic Stitches "Victorine Bonnegent 1808."

I was going to stitch it on Light Examplar, but my brain left me and I cut the fabric without leaving a margin - duh!! So I found some regular Examplar and decided that I liked it better anyway. Here's what I got done last night...

Victorine Bonnegent on 36 ct. Examplar using Waterlilies "Cherry" #101.

I have been looking for something to stitch using the Cherry Waterlilies and one day I was searching online and saw this chart and I knew that was it! :) I'm loving it so far!

I had a nice visit with dh. We went to Savannah and it was just gorgeous and I forgot my camera! I was so mad at myself! Oh well, it's an excuse to go back again one day. I'd love to take one of those tours to really learn about the different buildings and history. I think my dh is going to come down this weekend and we're going to celebrate Matthew's one year birthday a little bit early.

Well, not much else going on here. I got a little more stash in the mail yesterday that I will share tomorrow! Write later! :)

A little 4th of July Stitching!

I finished up this little freebie last night...

"Liberty for Ewe" by Sharon Crescent
Fabric: 32 ct. Light Mocha Belfast
Threads: Crescent Colours and one GAST
Started and Finished: 7/4/07

I saw this freebie on Joanne's blog yesterday and fell in love (I love sheep), and decided to stitch it right away. I had to make substitutions because I didn't have all CC required. I think it turned out pretty cute! Well, only two out of three kids stayed awake for the fireworks (Jake). He had a ton of fun watching them. We were able to stay in the living room and see them out the window. They were so loud and close because they were shooting them off only a few blocks away.

I did get a little more done on Sunflower Bellpull also. I finished the lowercase alphabet above the house.

So all in all the Fourth was a pretty relaxing day. Now it's back to work, so I'd better get to it! Write later! :)

Sunflower Bellpull

I stayed up way too late watching, yes, you guessed it, Gilmore Girls. I got three more discs in the mail yesterday. I'm almost done with season 1. I'm definitely hooked now! I did get the house portion of my bellpull completed, which was a June goal, but oh well, better late than never, right?? :)

I think I'm about halfway done now. I was thinking of only working on this one this week to try to get even more done. I'd love to get some of these wips out of the way to make room for new things like Bellemeade! :) While I was cleaning yesterday I found more wire and made three more fobs! Well, needless to say not much cleaning got done! I was totally obsessed yesterday with making these! I even had my four year old making them. He woke up this morning wanting to make one and I had to tell him there was no more wire. I used every last bit - so sad! :) Well, not much else! Write later!

P.S. Happy 4th of July!

Fobs!

I went fob crazy today. I made so many that I put some on my trade blog. It was very hard to part with any of them! My favorite one I made today is a 4th of July fob. I was going to stitch a fob and then realized I most likely wouldn't get it done in time, so I decided to bead one!

My other favorite is this pink and white one. I took apart an old fob I got from Elegant Stitch years ago and combined it with some new beads I got recently. I love the colors.

And here's a picture of all of them. Aren't they just lovely? It's too bad you can't see how much the crystals sparkle. I love the Swavorskis, which is why I decided to make some fobs just using the crystals and silver beads.

Well, no stitching yet today. I need to clean and then I will be all set to stitch! Write later! :)

Bargains!

I love to find a deal or something special on eBay. I usually get outbid on charts I want because everyone else wants them too. But this chart happened to slip by everyone, but me! :)

The Goode Huswife "A Pennsylvania Christmas Sampler."

I fell in love with this design after seeing Niky's stitched.

The other deal I found was the last Just Cross Stitch magazine I was needing to complete the "Share Thy Bounty" set by Merry Cox. I got that magazine very cheap, and I was very happy! :)

I also just won this auction for Merry Cox's "Martha's Vineyard Pin Keep/Needlebook." I thought it was a pretty good deal - I can't wait to see what it looks like in person.

My last good deal of the week was from Elegant Stitch Too. All charts are 50% off and got this one...

A Most Noble Pursuit

I never wanted to pay $40 for it because I knew I wouldn't stitch all the charts together, but rather stitch a few of them individually.

Well, that's all the deals I have to share for now! :) I haven't done any stitching today, and now that it's 10:15 pm. I don't think I'm going to. :( Definitely tomorrow though! Write later!

Well, not much going on here. I had a nice weekend with dh and I was sad to see him go. We had good news though. He may get stationed in Sarasota, which is about an hour South of us. That would be so much better than Charleston! Hopefully it will work out! Write later! :)
