I visited at lunch time on Wetherspoon's very first day and already there were two or three handpumps with clips but no beer. The other pumps dispensed ale in excellent condition as one would expect from a Wetherspoon's. This ex-cinema has been totally gutted and very nicely done out with dark panelling and a high ceiling with lots of iron beams. No longer a Wetherspoon's, the interior is unchanged but the real ales have gone. Closed in 2021 and now a curry house. Last visited 2018. |
