I don’t want to alarm anyone unnecessarily, but I have a sore throat.
I don’t even know who to blame.
Or how to best milk it.
I decided to stay in bed all day, but now the kids are arguing about who gets to do the laundry. “You did it last time!” one of them hush-yelled to the other so as not to disturb my rest.
“That’s not fair!” the other one signed, “you already got to scrub the toilet bowl!”
But at least I’m reading a book that I love. It’s Where’d You Go, Bernadette and it’s funny and smart and if you have kids in school with sanctimommies very relatable. So thumbs up! (Also, Amazon affiliate link.) Â I’m also worried because my book group is reading Telegraph Avenue next and I read five pages and I don’t like it. Please tell me that just like high school, it gets better.
Here are some other things I wrote this week!
What Happens When You Leave the Camera Behind
If You Spank, I Have Some Questions for You
When a Child You Don’t Know Breaks Your Heart
Mouthing Off: Smash Cakes (I co-wrote this with my fellow Mouthies!)
I Volunteered to be Class Mom, How Do I Get Out of It?
What about you? What have you read/written this week that I should be reading/plagiarizing?
