Photos of Rag, Raggedy, and Ragged Handmade Quilts

Rag quilts are awesome, and fun and easy to stitch up. There are no right or wrong sides to a raggedy quilt. Both sides are pretty! The best fabric to use for making rag quilts are fabrics that rag or fray nicely, like: cotton, denim, homespun, and flannel.

Try making a shabby chic cottage style raggedy quilt with lilac and green fabrics.

This country charm cottage style shabby chic raggedy quilt was made for a customer who is giving it to her granddaughter for a graduation present. It was made from 100% cotton calico fabrics, flannels, and chenille fabric.  You can make this too! See the directions on how to here.

I adore this mint green raggedy quilt that Shirley sends us. I feel like I should be eating mint chocolate ice-cream with friends while sitting on the rag quilt out in a field on a summer day!
