1/365 :: What's with kids and pretending to fall over? It's pretty cute.
2/365 :: A beautiful sunset. Milo and I quickly headed onto the porch to snap a few photos.
3/365 :: I think these portulacas are my favourite flower so far this year. Well, of the ones I have in pots anyways.
4/365 :: I went over to a friend's house and she had birthday cupcakes. Sweet!
5/365 :: I left these guys for the longest I ever have and went to a spa in Toronto called Body Blitz with a friend who has a birthday two days after mine. They have a bunch of different pools and you follow a little map to go from pool to pool. I loved it so much more than I thought I would and I need it to become part of my daily routine. The steam room and the cold pool were my favourites (even though the first time in the cold pool I was kind of hyperventilating).
6/365 :: Just a few plants. Pinny attacks my plants, that's what's up with the marks on the front one.
7/365 :: A few more plants. I am really good at killing plants so I am trying to get better at keeping them alive.
I really love looking back on 365 projects so I decided to start one on my birthday (May 26). I miss taking daily photos of little things that are going on so I think that this is the perfect thing for me right now.
Thank you to everyone who has welcomed me back to blogging. I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a little message and even though I get it, I will forever think it's strange that people out there on the internet who I have never met are interested in my life and excited to be hearing about it again. Thank you!

Photos :: Flashback to Florida 2015
The one thing that really drove me crazy about not blogging was the fact that I didn't take the time to pick out my favourite photos from trips and events and just everyday stuff. I've decided to sort back through my photos and just randomly post about things that happened while I wasn't blogging. Like I said before, this time around I am keeping this blog 100% for myself as a journal to remember my life and this is what I want to post about. No rules, I do what I want! So, here are a few photos from our trip to Florida this past February.
It wasn't that hot in Florida while we were there but it was absolutely freezing in Hamilton so I didn't mind one bit. As long as there wasn't 5 feet of snow I was happy! We went to the beach, the Children's Museum, swimming in the pool and had a great time. We stayed at my cousin's condo and he and his girlfriend as well as his daughter and her boyfriend all came down for the last part of our trip. Of course my dad and stepmom were also there (that's who we were visiting). It was so much fun having everyone there at once!

Photos :: Simpler Thyme Organic Farm
The day after we got back from Cleveland Ivan, my mom, Milo and I visited Simpler Thyme Organic Farm. Earlier in May we bought a bunch of seedlings from them at the Mustard Seed Co-op seedling sale and asked if visitors were allowed on their farm. Turns out visitors are very welcome absolutely anytime to walk around the grounds, play on the trampoline, visit the greenhouse and basically just enjoy anything on the farm. We picked up a few more seedlings, some fresh lettuce and asparagus then just wandered around for a while.
I would be very happy to live somewhere like this. The owners were super nice...maybe they would just let us move in? We'll bring our own tent, obviously.

We took a very short walk into the forest (crazy mosquitos!) looking for trilliums but I think we were a little late to see any. We did spot some jack-in-the-pulpits and a cute mushroom.
There was also an area that was full of bones! Pretty neat.

Photos :: Rockefeller Park Greenhouse
On our last day in Cleveland Kaylah and Jeff took us to the Rockefeller Park Greenhouse. I could have stayed there all day breathing in the fresh air and now I want a greenhouse in our backyard even more than I did before. I have enjoyed gardening since we moved into our house but this year I have become a lot more interested in it and visiting the greenhouse and admiring all the plants has me even more excited. I can't wait to share progress photos of our veggie garden as it grows! Anyways, back to the greenhouse...to summarize, all the plants were bonkers and I loved it.
I keep wanting to say that a certain plant is my favourite but I really can't choose. I'll just take one of each please.
Also...June 1st? How the heck did that happen so quickly?

Photos :: Cleveland May 2015
Last week Ivan, Milo and I finally visited Kaylah in Cleveland. Milo wasn't the best with car rides (long or short) for a long time so a four hour drive was kind of out of the question. I am so happy that we made the trip because we had a fantastic time.
There is nothing better than seeing your friends love and have fun with your kids. Milo is still talking about Kaylah tickling him.
Always lots of photo booths.
We visited the beach and Milo touched a dead fish.
Jeff suggested we go to Town Hall for vegan Mondays and it was so delicious. Milo hadn't napped and fell asleep during dinner. Luckily we were seated on couches so it was no problem to lay him down for a little snooze. I didn't take any photos, but after dinner we had the best ice cream of my life at Mitchell's. It was just chocolate but it was seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten and I couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of our visit.
Right before we went home we surprised Kaylah's parents with a visit. They have the best place ever and we really didn't want to leave.
We did a bunch of other things but I'm kind of out of the habit of snapping photos of everything. I haven't been taking as many photos lately. I was focussing more on enjoying the moment rather than trying to photograph it. While I think that can be great, not having the best memory, that didn't work for me very well. I firmly believe that you can both enjoy the moment and take photos of it so that's my new plan.
