From the Artist...Looking through old family photos was seeing without knowing. Feeling an old relative's affinity without ever having known them. I was 18 when I came home one night to find an old 35mm camera on my bed, once a relative's. The camera became my way of understanding or at least questioning my surroundings. Photographing is the only way I know to keep myself evolving. Each photo presenting the challenge to find something novel and unfamiliar below the surface of a familiar world.
