South Africa’s water scarcity is being worsened by ageing infrastructure and compounded by budget constraints and regional management inconsistencies.   These issues ripple across all aspects of society and industry, affecting everything from corporate productivity to basic operational hygiene in facilities. Tsebo Facilities Management CEO, Aubrey McElnea ,and Tsebo Facilities Solutions Head of Engineering Ebrahim Patel, (Pr Eng) shared their sector expertise at a dynamic media water roundtable discussion, held yesterday.   Key takeaways included:   Modernising water infrastructure - New pipelines, underground storage and advanced treatment facilities can help mitigate supply interruptions and reduce leakage losses. Patel highlighted that the urgency for resilient infrastructure escalates as urban expansion continues.   The adoption of advanced technologies, enabling real-time monitoring and adjustment of water distribution, can significantly reduce wastage and improve overall efficiency. These technological advancements must be complemented by societal shifts towards conservation and sustainable practices.   Collaboration between the private sector, government and communities to address water management challenges comprehensively. McElnea and Patel underscored the importance of stakeholder engagement and cooperation to develop inclusive solutions.   Tsebo is committed to reshaping the future of water management in South Africa by integrating strategic collaboration, cutting-edge technology and community engagement. We are dedicated to going beyond crisis mitigation, working towards a secure, fair and sustainable water supply for generations to come.   For full article by Deputy Editor, Natasha Odendaal from Creamer Media, visit Engineering News: https://bit.ly/3YseJJ4   #TseboFacilitiesManagement #WaterInfrastructure #WaterManagement
