New data from LinkedIn shows transformative shifts in the global automotive and energy sectors: 🔹 Leading the charge: Sweden (60%), Netherlands (35%), and France (25%) top the charts in electric vehicle (EV) sales. Remarkable growth is also seen in Turkey (+809%), Brazil (+150%), and India (+67%). 🔹 Workforce evolution: The rise in EV sales is matched by a growing skilled workforce. Sweden leads with 9.3% of its automotive professionals specializing in EVs, while Indonesia (+21%) and India (+17%) experience the fastest growth in EV-related skills. 🔹 Energy shift: A global trend towards renewable energy is evident. Germany and Sweden show significant shifts from Oil & Gas to Renewable Energy Power Generation, with Sweden’s renewable workforce growing by 11% from 2023 to 2024. 🔹 Growth despite challenges: While EV sales continue to climb, challenges remain. For instance, Germany saw a 23% decrease in EV share year-over-year. However, strong momentum in emerging markets like Turkey and Brazil offers optimism for continued growth. 💡 What's next?
