Forvis Mazars Access Accountancy Event with Young Professionals! Last week we hosted the Forvis Mazars Access Accountancy Virtual Session with 500+ students all looking to secure some in-person Business & Accounting Work Experience this October half term. 15 offices needed to be filled and within 4 days all roles had closed. It's great to see so many of our students getting opportunities onto programmes like this and the power of our network!

We're thrilled that a selection of young professionals just completed an inspiring and action-packed three day work experience with Berkeley Group Plc! During the course of this event the students had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of construction and real estate, gaining invaluable insights and hands-on experience with one of the UK's leading developers. Over the three days, they explored construction sites and engaged with industry professionals, gaining a deeper understanding of Berkeley Group's commitment to creating sustainable, high-quality developments across London, Birmingham, and the South of England. The students attended insightful talks from Berkeley’s land and planning team, delving into the intricacies of marketing, the importance of sustainability, and the crucial role of quality assurance in delivering the excellence that Berkeley Group is renowned for. This experience was made even more impactful thanks to the incredible support from Liza Smith whose organisation and guidance were instrumental in making the event a success. The students left the experience with a renewed passion and a deeper understanding of what it takes to build not just structures, but sustainable, vibrant communities in line with Berkeley Group's vision. The future is bright for these young professionals as they prepare to apply the knowledge and skills they gained at Berkeley to their future careers, contributing to the development of exceptional places where people love to live, work, and thrive! #workexperience #apprenticeships #careers

Last week The University of Law welcomed over 1.2k students to a virtual work experience event, and over 600 students to their UK campuses in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Nottingham. Budding law students got the chance to attend engaging workshops that allowed students to put their negotiation and argument skills to the test and prepare a case, with real life legal disputes used for simulation tasks! The work experience brought many aspects of Law to life, and really helped students figure out what area of Law they'd like to work in. A huge thanks to Hannah Coe and the rest of the ULaw team for delivering such a great event across multiple locations, and to the student brand ambassadors who were there to provide advice, guidance and assistance throughout the event. Throwback to our Summer Conference at the QEII, London: Back on 11th July we held the UK’s biggest student careers event and invited some of the largest brands to join sector specific panel discussions with us and our audience of students. Our Accounting and Business panel consisted of clients from Forvis Mazars Group, PwC, EY, KPMG and Grant Thornton UK LLP and during the panel our students had the opportunity to join a live Q&A through our event app! "Teamwork makes the dream work" Here we all are taking a break from another busy event - the YP and Peppo Tutors 2024 PowerUp fest at Regent's University London, and what better way to chill and soak up the sun than in a pair of giant deckchairs! With the students and employers enjoying a tasty bbq and live entertainment (including a singer, pianist, caricature artist and a magician), it certainly was summer vibes over in London yesterday.
